Some of the early upgraders like Mr. Slitchfield of allaboutsymbian wrote initial feedback and he had encounter few bugs specially on Nokia Maps and this made me less enthusiastic to upgrade because I love using Nokia Maps. I might also loose my Nokia Email service again since theirs a possibility that it will be wipe out after the upgrade and I dont want to loose this service again.
I've been following developments on this upgrade and this were some of the feedbacks made.
1. The new firmware is now hackable and several mobile freaks where very happy with this, I don't know how to hack so obviously I don't care about it.
2. More faster and stable interface than the v3o. Hopefully this is true, I'm experiencing few hang ups with my current firmware particularly using maps and music player at the same time.
2. Call ending bug fixed. Another good upgrade, my N82 freezes a bit after a call, 5 seconds I guess, but this really didn't bother me before.
3. Improved Auto Screen rotation. I don't mind.
4. Slightly louder and bit clearer loudspeakers. Okay, how clear will this be? v30 already improve the sound speakers, maybe this would mean more louder and clearer.
5. Faster GPS Lock, this is a good one. Although I don't use this often but I'm glad that its now faster, some decsribe it as "almost instant" impressive then.
6. Smoother fonts. Hmmm?!?
7. WLAN connectivity improved. Good point, I'm using WLAN all the time to update my Nokia Email.
8. Phone memory went up to 117.9 MB. Better, old firmware has only 87MB available after the upgrade.
9. Battery performance improved. Best news of all.
Well, it seems that the firmware is a good one but I'll still be waiting for the change log before upgrading, besides its not yet available with the Philippine Code. It will be like 3 weeks or so before it arrives, just in time for more feedbacks and the complete change log.
