Good vs Evil: My official lists of 2013 candidates to vote

A harsh and straightforward statement I know, but really, the basis of my decision is between good - those whom I think is living a corrupt-free life and had done something useful for the community and the country in general, and evil - those who have corrupt tainted personality, who have done atrocities to the community or even those who allied with them. Their is no middle ground, no if's, no buts, my vote is base on conscience and moral, beyond lies, deception, political machinery and blatant vote buying.

I'm very much looking for the days when politicians would truly serve the public wholeheartedly and that people would vote without bribery, fear or intimation. Its a long shot to reality but achievable if people would just work altogether to break the tradition of corruption and thirst for power in this God forsaken country.

Anyways, without further ado, here is my complete list of national to local candidates.

Team Patay (Dead), Team Buhay (Alive), A Blatant Violation Of Election Law

As controversial as Justin Beiber puking onstage is the Team Patay, Team Buhay poster made by the Archdiocese of Bacolod influencing subordinates to vote or not vote election candidates who were against or supportive of the recently passed RH Bill.

As reasonable as it may seemed since we're living in a democratic state and had a freedom of speech as part of our constitutional rights, the deed is in violation of Article XXII, Section 261, Paragraph (d)(1), of the Omnibus Election Code, as an act of Coercion of Subordinates. Coercion occurs when any public or private corporation or association, or any head, superior, or administrator of any religious organization, or any employer or land-owner who coerces or intimidates or compels, or in any manner influence, directly or indirectly, any of his subordinates or members or parishioners or employees or house helpers, tenants, overseers, farm helpers, tillers, or lease holders to aid, campaign or vote for or against any candidate or any aspirant for the nomination or selection of candidates.

Aside from this our Philippine Constitution clearly distinguished the separation of church and state thus the church in prohibited from mingling to the affairs of the state.

Well, yes, I'm Pro-Life myself and against the RH Bill,  but the Archdiocese of Bacolod went too far on the matter. Being the spiritual councilors of people, they should be the forefront in identifying what is lawfully and morally right, encourage people to live with it, and discourage disobedience.

Anyways, Tthe COMELEC is giving them ample time to take the poster off so they better conform. They could either respect the Law or taste its wretched.

Smartphones and Tarpaulins

With election day coming and campaign period starting for both national and local candidates, tarpaulins begins to pop up in conspicuous places, becoming more likely an eyesore mostly rather than informative, which made me think, what would an appropriate megapixel (MP) be for at least a 5x8 feet tarpaulin.

Pixel in digital imaging is a physical point in an image, or the smallest addressable element in a display making it the smallest controllable element of a picture represented up front. Megapixel on the other hand represents one million pixels, and is a term used not only for the number of pixels in an image, but to express the number of image sensor elements of digital cameras or the number of display elements of digital displays. The bigger the pixel, the higher is its resulting resolution.

Now back to the question at bar, believe it or not, it only need at least 6 MP to cover a aforementioned tarpaulin size, making most of the smartphones at the moment, appropriate to do the job. Below this level will pixelate the images and makes it blurry. This only proves that MP on camera doesn't really count much in reality, the MP war among camera and smartphones was nothing more than a marketing strategy.

Unfortunately, photo enthusiasts like what I consider myself to be, does not live on whats appropriate, we tend to go over the edge, the bigger the MP and cooler it is, the wider the aperture, the better, among the rest of the elements, bottom line is, every single aspect matters, even the smallest.

Anyways, back to the tarpaulins, if a candidate comes and asked you to take a picture for his/her campaign poster, don't mind thinking about of getting your DSLR camera's, your smartphone is just enough.
