Nokia 5730 XpressMusic was introduced March 11, 2009 at a press event themed Your Music Player Is Ringing and from a music lover's point of view, I would say that this is the Ultimate Music Player mid tier device in the mobile world. Nokia Say and Play (voice control to music), Dedicated music keys (play/pause, skip and rewind), Loud Stereo Speakers, 3.5mm Audio Jack, Internet Radio and FM and Audio streaming were just among its powerful music feature topped with NSeries like features from phone to connectivity, messaging, navigation, imaging and multimedia, no other music phone can topple this device right front.
Form factor wise, this is the very first music dedicated device that has a side slider full qwerty which entails messaging focus, a perfect combination to a brewing new generation of young people who incorporates music with email and SMS. Connectivity, no less, a cogent Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g on board and 3.5G HSDPA that elicit unlimited consolidation of music and web streaming.
For Messaging; Nokia Email, Nokia Chat, Text to Speech message reader among others as strong points. I love the conjunction of all my email address into one client and pushed email, Nokia Email made this possible. Nokia Chat combines IM sites, so you only have to log in once and enjoy multiple connectivity if you have several IM accounts. Text to Speech message reader is a new feature that is very promising since it will help a lot of people who have eye problems specially the elderly, another Nokia first powerful feature. Navigation, the 2nd Nokia music dedicated device that supports a Assisted GPS and Nokia Maps, 5800 being the first.
Imaging is also well positioned with a 3.2 Megapixel main camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Tessar 2.8/3.7 lens, 8x digital zoom, Autofocus and LED Flash. This is well enough to take incidental snapshots of the world and a video recording of about 15 frames per minute.
Last but not the least, Multimedia. Entertainment media to the fullest starting with NGage, the very first music dedicated device that can play high quality mobile games with 3D support and I'm a big fan of NGage! This incorporates, music and games, a lethal combination for people who doesn't have the word boredom in their dictionary. Video player is well focus also in this device, it can play MPEG4 in .mp4 format, H.263 (profile 0 level 10) in .3gp file format via Real One player, Video streaming (3GPP and CIF) and best of all Flash Lite 3 support, a must component for youTube video playback.
Their is nothing missing in here for people who loves music and fun that's why I am recommending this phone to the young and the young at heart and this is why the phone is heading home as my younger sisters next phone upgrade, she loves QWERTY, send SMS, twitter, listen to music, watch YouTube, surf the net and play games. Somewhat like a mobile phone made for her. All the BEST!
