I'm fun of using navigation stuffs on my Nokia N82, in fact I have all the possible programs created for Symbian S60 installed and Goggle Map is one of them. I already made a stand between Goggle Maps and Nokia Maps and preferred Nokia because of its capability to navigate even in offline mode but Goggle Maps serves me in a different manner, it stand as my mapping point guide because its more informative than Nokia Maps.
Its like combining the capability of Goggle Map and Nokia Maps, I opened Goggle Maps online, saved and marked possible places that matters, and wallah, the marked places is also recorded on Nokia Maps thus marking points accurately flat up and Goggles accuracy is by far accurate that it pointed out on places that it should be pointing via GPS. Left images shows Mobile Goggle Map first that were highlighted with stars on saved places, the next image is the Nokia Map with pin pointers, this are the marked places on Goggle Map that was save by Nokia Map.
Their were only small misses made like two places out of ten but its more than what I expected, 2 thumbs up for Goggle. Hopefully Goggle will consider improving the Philippine maps, making it more specific and concise. Like in the images on the right, first image shown is Nokia Map with pin pointers from Goggle Map, the blue highlighted part was the missed location of Goggle, the star point was the right location of the place and the pointing pin was far from it.
As of the moment, most of the places in the Philippines are blurred and only major cities were clear reaching out to as much as street level viewing. Navfones Asia maps is more informative than goggle maps but it is being sold per city basis so it would rather be expensive than helpful. Nokia maps also have navigation licenses sold and I haven't tried this yet, maybe it has added information on its maps rather than the free ones.
