Another reason for the Nokia Symbian^3 owners (Nokia N8, E7, C7, C6-01, X7, E6 and 500)to celebrate, Symbian Belle is up on the heels, promising the best ever user experience.
Major user interface improvements includes:
1. Resizable, free form live widgets of clock, email, music player, favorite contacts and the calendar applications, redesigned and comes 5 different sizes. They can also be re-sized and rearranged to create a completely personalized set of screens. There are also new ‘Toggle’ widgets for tasks like switching on Bluetooth and changing profiles.
2. Up to 6 customizable Homescreens.
3. Pull down notification tab for the phones current status like incoming messages, missed calls and the rest.
4. New N9 like navigation and options bar at the bottom of the screen.
5. New apps: a new suite of powerful business apps from Microsoft includes Lync (IM for businesses, like Microsoft Communicator), Sharepoint, OneNote, Exchange ActiveSync and PowerPoint Broadcaster.
6. Informative lock screen (Nokia Sleeping Screen-like) showing missed calls, messages in the inbox with a customizable colored wallpaper.
7. Near-Field Communications (NFC) is now deeply integrated into the operating system.
No official release date of Belle yet, but it could nearer than sooner. Cross my finger!
