Two days ago, I wrote about a good news coming from Nokia, that the prices of their devices have been cut down to further boast their sales and trim the thin sales of the competitors, well, it might be true in some countries and true as far as eBay prices are concern but it did not affect the cost of Nokia N82 Black Edition in Nokia Retail Stores here in Metro Manila. Sad but true.
Ever since I arrived here two days ago, I've been to a few Nokia Stores around the Metropolis and called up some of them just to find out that there was no movement in the price of Nokia N82. It still bare the same tag a month ago, hefty and expensive. Does this a defiance from the mother company's recent announcement? I guess so, maybe they've decided not to do follow this order knowing more of the local market condition of Nokia N82. Its undeniably true that N82's Black prodigy remain a best seller to date, hotting stocks to run out in most of the stores I visited.
Now I'm thinking about buying the unit from Non Nokia Stores because prices in those stores are lower compared to Nokia flagship stores. I'll just have to be extra careful though, I have to see to it that the product they will gave me was genuine and with a full year warranty from Nokia. I saw prices running around Php19,000 to Php21,000. A good remarkable difference.
