Another Scam Unearthed, this I would say might is the most controversial since almost everyone got prey on this, its all about Text or SMS and the scammers? Telecom companies all over the world, according to New York Times, a study was made by Srinivasan Keshav, professor of computer science at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, citing that text messages of less than 160 character sent from a mobile phone to another phone doesn't cost anything even if it comes in hundreds, thousands or even millions through operators network. Text messages are only considered as extra service that runs to the control channel, loop area of the wireless operators and it wont cause any maintenance fee whatsoever at all.
How is this for a shocker, were paying for a service that doesn't cost a single penny against telecom operators and there charging us hefty? Isn't this a scam of the century?
A case was already filed against the biggest telecom operators in United States and Canada and I believe this is the right time for Philippines to do the same being a country that sent the largest number of text messages daily. We must stop this atrocious act and let fairness and equality prevails. This would definitely help thriving Pinoys who prefer to buy loads rather than their basic needs for the sake of being able to text their friends and love ones.
We must act swiftly and decisively, we must act now!
