It seemed that my lucky stars have been very kind to me since I'm about to receive another Nokia phone, this time from the Land of the Free, US that is, and the phone is the current E-Series Flagship, the Nokia E75.
It was again an ecstatic moment for me since the phone will be my very first E-Series, my very first slider form factor phone and best of all, my very first device to have a full mechanical QWERTY keyboard, lots of first there. c", I've been very vocal on this blog ever since that I want to own a phone with mechanical QWERTY and how I drooled for an E71 because of it, now my wish was finally granted, BIG THANKS to Joe and Chris over at Nokia North America.
Now I will have everything covered for my mobility needs, from the photography focus Nokia N82, to the very cool touch sensitive UI and Music driven Nokia 553o XpressMusic, then the QWERTY business centered Nokia E75. Mobile life can never be more better and fun for me with all this in tow, bringing the best experience in their respective fields of expertise.
Just a small run down.. Nokia E75, is the very first ESeries device with a side sliding mechanism, popping out a well space QWERTY keyboard upfront. It is also the very first ESeries that toggles a 3.5 mm headphone jack, N-Gage client, media powerhouse feature such as video player that supports WMV, 3GP, MP4 files, an NSeries capable audio player among others plus the standard E Series feature such as Email on the go with Nokia Messaging and pre-installed Mail for Exchange, international call support over the Internet via VoIP, customizable business and personal home screen modes, Document editor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF) incl. MS Office 2007 support via free update, etc.
I will have a small problem though, the phone has an 850, 1900, WCDMA frequency (remembered RBa lecture on frequency bands, we have 900, 1800 here in the Philippines c",) but according to Nokia Philippines (via Nikka Abes), the phone will still work with our local telecom networks since the 2G frequency of the phone is Quad band, meaning it has an 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 band (going technical here, nosebleed! hahaha) except the 3G since it will require 3G hardware installation but nonetheless I can still use telecom internet service via EDGE just like what I'm doing with my Nokia 5530 XpressMusic.
Now the wait starts again c", I believe it will be a matter of weeks before I got the phone, right FedEx? Hahaha! Freaky, Ecstatic!

Yes you can still use the GSM and EDGE connection of the E75 because E75 is a Quadband GSM/EDGE phone. It's just the 3G that you can't use here since we have the 2100 MHz 3G here in the Philippines.
Smart GPRS/EDGE: 900/1800 MHz
Globe GPRS/EDGE: 900/1800 MHz
Sun GPRS/EDGE: 1800 MHz
Smart 3G/HSDPA: 2100 MHz
Globe 3G/HSDPA: 2100 MHz
Sun 3G/HSDPA (available in Metro Manila yet): 2100 MHz
I wont be needing 3G much anyway specially here in the province c", so it's okay.. Kinda excited about the phone. Hope it arrives soon!
