CES 2013's Standout Gadgets So Far

International CES is an electronic trade show held every January in Las Vegas, United States. It is a grand event where manufacturers from around the world gather to showcase their latest products to the public.

The 2013 trade show started yesterday January 8 and will end in the 11th. There were already quite a number of manufacturers that unleashed their product offerings, question is, which among them stands out.

Well, here are my favorites so far:

1. Dexim's Music Talking Stylus

Its a Bluetooth device first and foremost, a headphone for hand held call, a Hi-Fi stereo music headset with 3.5mm audio jack support, and lastly, a capacitive stylus pen, all in one! Genius!

It just so happened that I was looking for a music headset lately to replace my long lost CDR-King stereo Bluetooth headset, and at the same time for stripping for capacitive stylus pen for my Tablet, now there both found in one device.

Accordingly, the bluetooth device had a standby time of 180 hours, a talk time of 5 hours and compatible to any 2.1+EDR bluetooth devices. It even had a noise reduction feature.

Unfortunately, we don't have a local supplier here in the Philippines so we'll have to buy it online. Cost at about $79.00 or PhP3,200.00 locally.

2. HAPIfork by Jacques Lepine

This is it Diet fanatics, another device that might be the answer our long lost battle to weight loss, the HAPIfork that monitors eating habits!

The device controls fast eating without chewing long enough that leads to poor digestion and poor weight control. The HAPIfork gives users precise information about their eating schedule. It will also alerts users with the help of indicator lights when their are eating too fast.

The HAPIfork also measures how long it took to eat meal, the amount of “fork servings" taken per minute and intervals between "fork servings", brilliant!

And thats not all, information's can then be uploaded via USB or Bluetooth down to users Online Dashboard to track their progress. Unfortunately, no release date or market price yet but your can pre-order the gadget on HAPILAB's website.

3. 3M's 84 inch multi-touch table

Call this a monster tablet, yes, 84 inch is equivalent to 10 iPads length, playing angry would definitely rock on this device! No other specifications were release yet, like wether it runs Windows or Android, or the processors whatsoever, but one thing is for sure, it will have a multiple usability for casino gaming, food service, hospitality, industrial, interactive digital signage, retail point of sale and self-services.

Two more days to go before CES 2013 wraps up, expect more announcements and gadgets to look forward to this year. For sure a lot of companies were saving the best for last.
