Nokia E71 And Nokia E66 Get Free Navigation, Today

GLOBAL – You spoke, we listened: Free walk and drive navigation is now available for the Nokia E71 and Nokia E66. The latest version of Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation has been available on a range of devices such as the Nokia E72, Nokia N97 mini, and X6 since January. After listening to customer feedback though, the Ovi Maps team have now created a version that works on Nokia E71 and Nokia E66.

To enjoy free navigation with Ovi Maps on Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 devices, users should follow these simple steps:

1. Download the new Ovi Maps application from nokia.com/maps to your PC
2. Install the application using Ovi Suite to your device
3. Go to applications folder and start using Ovi Maps

Note to users : if users do not install the new Ovi Maps application, they will be prompted to pay the one year navigation license of 9.99 EUR if they start using the drive and walk navigation feature.

People will be able to use Ovi Suite to sideload the latest country maps onto their devices so they can enjoy offline map browsing alongside free navigation. The process of making the latest version of Ovi Maps available for existing devices is quite involved, but the team managed to include complete navigation functionality. Due to technical constraints in backporting the app to existing devices, it isn't possible to offer further premium content such as Guide Michelin and Lonely Planet guides. These two devices will also be the last of our S60 3.1 and older devices to support this version of Ovi Maps. But every upcoming Nokia smartphone will come with free walk and drive navigation out of the box.

These two Eseries devices join the recently compatible Nokia N86 8MP, which some users discovered earlier than anticipated. See below for a full list of compatible devices.

The update is available now from Nokia.com/maps, and will also be available in Ovi Store. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Ovi Maps compatible devices include the Nokia N97, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition, Nokia E52, Nokia E55, Nokia E72, Nokia 5230, Nokia 6710 Navigator, Nokia 6730 classic, Nokia X6, Nokia N86 8MP and with different functionality the Nokia E71, and Nokia E66.

Smart Telecom Offers Nokia Messaging Service On The Go.

Wow, what happen to Blogger.com this days, my scheduled articles were not publish on the specified date I wanted them to be posted, I'm supposed to have a post until yesterday, but I found out just today that my last post was still on July 1, creepy! Kindly check your system blogger, please!

Anyways, for one of my backtrack post, Nokia and Smart Telecom, Inc. teamed up to promote email messaging on the go to consumers via Smart Gold's Mobile Office. Nokia have powerful email messaging tools but have not been fully optimize by majority of the current users at the same time attracks possible users who wants to be connected to there office and personal emails anytime, anywhere.
As of the moment, two phones were tagged for the said service feature, the month long released savvy side sliding QWERTY, Nokia E75 and the morphed E71 version yet reliable power phone, E63, booth within different Plan bracket, E75 on Plan 2,500 while the E63 is under the the 1,800 Plan Segment. I would like to commend Smart for bringing E75 right away to their Phone list, its a very sleek and powerful tool to used.
It will used either of the Messaging feature of the phone, the Mail For Exchange, that is difficult to set up from a street persons point of view, and the Nokia Messaging which I'm currently using giving me pushed email via WIFI from email clients like Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, and Ovi Mail which also means every other Nokia phone with this Email features can enjoy the Mobile Office, in fact almost all Nokia S60 phones have this feature so its for everyone to use and enjoy.

Set up will still be under 3G internet browsing which is currently price at 10 pesos per 30 minutes of used. So its basically just as simple as accessing your emails at a certain period of time without the hassle of opening web browsers and not pushed email service anytime that I've been wishing for decades. I would have loved to see unlimited pushed email service from Smart and they can only do this by offering unlimited mobile 3G internet.
