Does December 21, 2012 Rings A Bell To You?

If not then you should be aware that its not much, just the "End Of The World" according to the prophecies foretold by the Mayan Calendar, a Chinese Oracle called "I Ching" and even in an Internet based prophetic program WEB-BOT.

Wow, just learned this one today, again, thanks to the mighty world wide web, I was informed that this prophecy exist. If you asked me if I believe in it? I don't because I believe in the Bible and It didn't specify when will the Judgment Day be, I believe that its coming and that all matters to me.

So lets try to dissect the facts behind this claim, first and foremost the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, or commonly known as the Mayan Calendar. The significance of this date in Mayanism stems from the ending of the current baktun cycle which is 2012, now how accurate was this calendar, it was said that the Mayans have perfected a precised calendar that has the ability to predict lunar eclipse thousand of years in the future and their devotion to stars and constellation is unparalleled, hmmm, sounds like a horoscope to me. c",

Their was also a theory of Galactic Alignment on this day, that could attribute to a slight wobble in the Earth's axis as it spins that could cause a devastating effect to earth.

Timewave zero, another theory related to the event, a numerological formula that purports to calculate the ebb and flow of "novelty", defined as increase in the universe's interconnectedness, or organized complexity, over time. According to this, the universe has a teleological attractor at the end of time that increases interconnectedness, eventually reaching a singularity of infinite complexity on December 21, 2012, at which point anything and everything imaginable will occur instantaneously. To complex to understand here but that's science in general to street people.

Another theory involves a geomagnetic reversal (often incorrectly referred to as a polar shift by proponents of this theory), which could be triggered by a massive solar flare, one with energy equal to 100 million atomic bombs. This is supported by evidence that the Earth's magnetic field is weakening,[27] which indicates an impending reversal of the north and south magnetic poles. Scientists believe the Earth is overdue for a geomagnetic reversal, and has been for a long time, even since the time of the Mayans, because the last reversal was 780,000 years ago.

NASA also expects a particularly strong solar maximum sometime between 2010 and 2012, there is no scientific evidence linking a solar maximum to a geomagnetic reversal. A solar maximum would be mostly notable for its effects on satellite and cellular phone communications. Another apocalyptic idea circulating about 2012, which has existed in various forms since 1995 and has changed dates at least twice since then, is that a large planet, called Nibiru, will collide with or pass by Earth in that year.

Aren't you drown yet with all this theories, dig this, a big budget movie inspired by the said event by no less than Independence Day director Roland Emmerich. Awesome right? That's how big this theory had become. To gave you the best interpretation of what 2012 will be, watch the full trailer of the film and be amazed.

Yeah guys, forget planning of buying luxury houses, forget buying a dozen of BMW's, forget all your favorite music artists and forget spending a lot of time for them. Rather spend your few remaining time with your loved ones because the world will draw to an end. Bwahahahaha!! Lol just kidding. Here goes my satanic laugh at times.

Lol. Dude, when I've heard about this for like a month ago, it really took me into a series of laughs. Lol! So what if the Mayan calendar draws to an end! Calendars really have an end cycle and reaching the calendar's end cycle doesn't mean end of the world. I mean, just like our calendar, when it reaches December 31, that day is considered the end of the calendar cycle. And we all hell know that after December 31, January 1 comes next and not the end of the world.! Lol..

Anyway, at least those scientific evidences are credible enough since it is science but even then, some scientific estimates sometimes make mistakes. Probably some kind of environmental havoc? Only God knows! Tragedies happen from time to time. And about that Mayan calendar thingy, I don't really believe in that story. That's just pure pseudo-science!

Anyway, nice blog feature dude.

Oh yeah, Mayan calendar is really existing. I just saw today that Mayan scientists supports the Mayan calendar. Weird.. A scientist that believes in Pseudo-science just like people believing in folklores or some sorts of "pamahiin" in a local Filipino term.
But still I'm not convinced.

I was 8 yrs old when I became a dumb victim of that Y2K story(you know, the story of 1999 that says that the world will end by the year 2000). Remember that one? Now a decade after, there is a quite similar story coming out and I bet by the year 2019, we will again here stories of the same caliber.

I don't know who exactly are these people that are always keen to rattle all of us. Probably, they wanted to see us dying?

c", Hahaha, your right Dude, their probably a bunch of heretics who lives miserably in life and that they want thier sorry lives to end as early as possible.

None of this actually can be supported with hard facts and purely coincidence, i mean with millions of prophecy written around the world, there were surely a couple of those that annotates the same notion, the probability is very much accepted by mathematical equation, that's 1/1,000,000. c",eeerrr, nosebleed!

But then what if its true? What would you probably do one day before the end of the world?

I guess one day is too short to do everything.. Hmmmm. Make it one month. Well, a week of using different gadgets and to listen to my favorite songs, a week of spending time with friends, a week of spending time with family and the last week should be left for religious activities.

But then again, end of the world is still not in my minds and I can't accept it if it's gonna be on 2012! Lol. That's the exact year that I can (hopefully) graduate college. Those people who love to think that the world will end soon are obviously those who are problematic and thinks that their lives are empty and meaningless.

c", I would probably just stay home with my love ones on the day before end of the world. Maybe reminisce good old days by tinkering old stuffs, somewhat like a flashback to everything from the past to the present. Then minutes before, eat my favorite food, at least, I'll die with a full stomach hehehe.

I am sorry but your ultra brief article on such a complex and mangled but worthy subject truly does more harm than good.

For those of you who would like a no nonsense, practical, feet on the ground yet fascinating understanding of the Mayan calendar and the most probable significance of 2012 then I invite you to review the following links. You will not be disappointed.

In my reports I touch on the most of what your article covers and more. None of the speculative stuff. I will have more to say on web-bot and timewave. All of the reports are to be considered introductory
