Another tinkering of Life's excerpts on a Saturday article, Motto in Life, kinda like the latest fab going one of the local noontime television show, just so happen that I was eating lunch on a restaurant with the owner watching it, leaving me with no choice but the peek a bit, and the host was asking around about each and every ones Motto in Life.
So what is Motto in the first place?
According to the great Wikipedia know it all, a motto (Italian for pledge, sentence; plural: motto) is a phrase meant to formally describe the general motivation or intention of a social group or organization. A motto may be in any language, but Latin is the most used. Another good definition comes from my good friend Merriam Webster where she describe it as a short expression of a guiding principle.
With all this definition, I would say that I have none or perhaps I have the most common of them all, Live life today as tomorrow is another day! hahaha, I just made that up c", but seriously I don't think I have a guiding principle at the moment. Its like a I'm doing things at the moment because I need to and that I'm oblige to, so I can live but not really the life I want. Confused? me either, but really, this is not the life that I would have wanted. I would have want to be somewhere else like in the city, or touring the world, discovering new things, doing the what I enjoy most. No line principle being followed in here, just evolving around the things that are currently happening and doing the best with the situation, or not.
Well, its good to have a guiding principle, that I realize just today upon writing this post and that I should look for the most the best and the most flexible, few suggestions cast in the web..
- "With great power comes great responsibility" ala Spiderman
- "When in Doubt...Pull OUT!!!" for Sexually active Young Couples
- "Honesty is the best Policy when your not Hungry" for Corrupt Politicians
- "Keep off the grass" for Drug Addicts
- "No pets allowed" for Hotel Workers
- "Try and try until you die" for the Hopeless
Tagalog Motto's!
- "Walang pangit sa TTing galit" translation "No T on the word Ugly" c",
- "Walang sorry sorry, Tuwad" translation "Never say sorry when you bend your knee"
- "Ang taong matagal sa banyo may ginagawang milagro..." translation "The person who stays long in the CR is miraculous"
Which sensible Motto should I follow? ;)
