Its been a long time that I haven't feature Price Watch in the blog, I was very busy this past few days that I have no time to travel, peek into mobilephone shops and see civilization unlike before where I got to travel twice in a month. My last visit to Zamboanga City was I think, two months ago so it was really quite awhile. By the way, I was greeted with a gruesome site when I arrived, a burned to the ground Public Terminal in Guiwan, according to the info I receive from the bystanders, the fire erupted after an explosion. (Another bombing incident?)
Price watch episode today covers Zamboanga City and Ozamis City areas, and you will be shock by the price difference between the two. Mobilephones covered have also been changed since there have been new phones released and among the new phones to be covered, the Nokia N97, the newly release N97 Mini, the E71 moniker E72 which looks stunning by the way in reality and my well loved possessions, the 5530 XpressMusic and Sliding QWERTY behemoth, E75.
Comparative Chart: (Click Image To Enlarge)
The Nokia N97 Mini is on its initial introductory price scheme so it came out expensive on Xpressions Mobile than the N97, according to the Nokia Sales Rep of the store, it will stay this way for the next two weeks and goes down to its intended price point which is around PHP28,195.00. Ebay.ph though have a different story, N97 is being sold at around a thousand cheaper than the N97.
As mentioned earlier, a big difference between the price point of Ozamis City and Zamboanga City, usually Zambo prices is a quarter cheaper than that of Ozamis but also a quarter more expensive than eBay.ph. I would want to recommend buying units on eBay, just make it sure that the seller that our dealing with is refutable and have a thousand or more feedback, and those than can you can really trust by heart like me. c", The N97 Mini is not yet available in Ozamis so its safe to presume that once I got my free trial unit, I will be the only user of such device in this part of the world, sweet!
My dream phone the Nokia N86 8MP haven't change a lot this past few weeks, its still stock on the PhP21,000 price range. I bet the phone have rich its rock bottom price point noting its impressive camera specs, built quality among others, this is how low Nokia can afford.
The QWERTY powerhouse E72 can also be bought now in Zamboanga, cost hefty though, while you cannot find a shadow of the phone yet in Ozamis except clones, yes the clones have already been here months ago. E75 still cost a fortune here while the 5530 XpressMusic starts to invade. I could now find several users, mostly students in uniform bringing the phone and touching it with hearts delight.
If your planning to buy mobilephones this Christmas, then your in luck, the best and the most powerful devices in the mobilephone world can now be brought from your favorite stores, go grab one now, quick!

Hello there! Am from Ozamiz City and currently eyeing for a Nokia 5530XM phone for Christmas. I was wondering if you could refer me someone from ebay.ph whom i can trust since the price of a 5530 phone here is quite expensive as compared to other places. Am planning of going to CDO or Iligan to buy the phone. Did you happen to know the current price of a Nokia 5530 there? or what can u suggest? Thanks a lot sir.
P.S. Nice blog by the way. Bookmarked this already. ^^_
Hi c", Thanks for dropping by and for the kind words.
Okay, I've tried dealing with easy2deal on ebay.ph and the transaction went on smoothly except that the item was delivered after 5-6 days, He is using Air21 as a courier which is slow in delivering items.
janjaman also is a powerseller and can be trusted but he also uses Air21 so expect a delay in delivery.
Just make sure that you bid on item that has a 1-year Nokia Warranty on the title not just a 1 year service warranty, just to be safe and ask the seller first if they have the color you want because you might end up with a different one as they just generally specify there items.
I can also recommend cgena.com, they have an nokia online shop and are confirmed by Nokia itself as an authorize dealer, there items were 300+ expensive than janjaman and easy2deal but they deliver items in 1-2 days, there courier is LBC.
Hope this helps c",
