The Nokia 2330 Classic is a well designed compact candybar phone with 107 x 46 x 13.18 mm, about ¾ high of a matchbox, twice the length, 1¼ width that fits anybody’s hand with a touched of simplicity. The design was good, looks a bit classy due to its metal like façade but overall it’s covered with pure plastic with metallic like touch that gives a solid illusion, an important first impression factor. Screen is 1.8inches long with 128 x 160 pixels and 65Thou color resolution, good enough to serve all its purpose, basic call and messaging. The T9 keyboards were well space and well contoured as that of the buttons, you can hardly miss any buttons when typing or browsing.

Operating system is Symbian 40, one of Nokia’s pioneer which fleets reliable through time but perhaps the most important feature of the phone is the integration of Nokia Email on the Messaging feature, one of the strongest service offering from Nokia that sets them far apart from the competitors. It provides an easy access to one of the most important tool in communication today, Email on the go that can be access anytime, anywhere via GPRS. Set up is easy with an option to create a new account via Ovi Mail giving users the opportunity to access Email service even without a personal computer. It also have a WAP 2.0/xHTML browser for web connectivity via GPRS.

Camera sports a 640 x 480 pixels VGA for casual still image capture while its video capability takes 128 x 96 at 6 frames per minute for casual video capture. Audio feature includes an MP3, ACC and H.263 Player, FM Radio with RDS and broadcast recording capability that can be access through a 2.5mm audio jack headphone. Games includes Galaxy Balls, Snake EX 2 and Soduko but can be downloaded with tons of Java games having a MIDP 2.1 Java capability. Other feature includes Organizer, Voice Memo and T9.

Battery capability is 1020mAh (BL-5C) that could last up to 528hours standby time and 4hours of talk time.

Price ranges from PhP2,400 – PhP3,200.

Disadvantage I could site, no memory card slot with only 10MB internal memory which cannot store more than 2 songs to make use of the MP3 Player, Lame!
Anyways if you want the best phone to perform only the best of the most basic tasks with budget on the consideration, you can never be wrong with this one, it’s the only phone that offers such feature and performance at the given price point.
