My Predictions in the Mobilephone World 2011

The mobilephone world has experienced a massive changed and development in 2010 like no other industry in the business world, from the fiercest competition, birth of new competitors, success stories, struggles, and failures to getting back on track in the fullest fighting form among others. It is a healthy battle of competitors in the arena where nobody wins except the buying public.

I will not be detailing such events in this article but instead focus on the things that I expect to happen in 2011.

1. Battle royal of mobilephone operating systems, from Symbian offering massive improvements, Android going for the kill, iOS going defensive, Windows Mobile 7 advancements, BADA’s forward press, Blackberry going offensive with their newly brought user interface and Meego going mainstream.

2. The introduction of Meego devices to droll for from mobilephones, tablets, laptops among others. It will be launch by several computer and mobilephone companies with Nokia leading the way with the Nokia N9 and the Z5000 Tablet.

3. iPhone will be launching another breakthrough product via iOS 5, as much as possible they want to announce something for everyone to talk about to hide the decrease of their market share. iPhone will also become cheaper.

4. More expensive HTC devices with improvements on the Sense UI to envy.

5. New high end Samsung devices both phones and tablets bearing Android Operating System and BADA. 3D will be their game to apt the competition.

6. Sony Ericsson launching their own Android Tablet and will witness how their Xperia Playstation fail in the market.

7. Motorola taking up more market share from Samsung in North America with their rigorous Android campaign.

8. LG to release high end Android phones with 3D screens and joining the Meego team.

9. Nokia going Window Mobile 7 on Tablet devices and the releasing more Symbian^3 devices from all form factors possible. My dream phone will be included abd I cannot afford to buy one until 2012.

10. Android going nuts with multiple handsets from different manufacturers that people would start getting confused and would rather go for unique OS’s.

11. Last but not the least, me buying entry level phones because aside from the fact that it is my most read articles of 2010, I also cannot afford expensive devices anymore. I‘m also routing to buy 7-10” Tablet device, a cheap one to play around when I’m at home. It would definitely serve as my movie, surfing, eBook and gaming buddy. At the moment, the cheapest are the Android tablets from Chinese manufacturers, something around PhP8,000 for an Éclair running one but a Meego running one would be awesome. Early preview of tablets running the Operating System is very cool, dying to own one.

And the next chapter of the blog continues.

Hello people c", my dear friends and readers, anybody of you who wants to buy my bothers Sony Ericsson P1i? Sony Ericsson C905, Love the MegaPixel

One of the most exciting and interesting news to come in the mobile world arena is the Sony Ericsson's C905 slide. The best and perhaps the most catchy feature of this phone that is making buzz among mobile phone enthusiast is the 8 megapixel which will set a benchmark being the first phone to have the said capability. The phone also has auto focus, face detection, xenon flash, video flash and Smart contrast. Their have been no feedback yet as to the picture quality produce by the 8 megapixel. Their 5 megapixel phones to date produce low quality images failing to beat the Nokia's 5 megapixel camera phones, hopefully this can make a difference for them.

The phone will also comes with Wifi with DLNA, GPS for geo-tagging feature, accelerometer, HSDPA among others. A power pack phone indeed, if this would come as a touchscreen phone then I will give up my dream phone, Nokia N82 as soon as this becomes available. If no touchscreen, I will think twice rather.

The phone looks promising as well, very sleek, eye catching and sexy, perhaps one of the best in design factor

I wonder, when will this phone be available? Sooner as possible maybe before other phone company launches their own 8 megapixel camera optics. Nokia is planning to increase their pixel to 10 while LG will be announcing their own product line next month. Let the battle of pixels begin!!

Love Smart People

Smart Communications unveils its new mobile phones up for grabs for customers who wants to avail Postpaid Plans under Smart Gold and Smart Infinity. Another aspect in the country's Mobile Service Provider competition where Smart wins by a margin. Being able to provide the best handset with numerous choices and under reasonable plan bracket makes it more enticing to avail rather than the expensive and old units offered by the competition.

Anyways, here are some of the new 3G mobile phone units available.

1. The Nokia 3120 classic, the cream of the crop since it is offered FREE within the P800.00 bracket and has the best feature being a Symbian 40 phone with 16million color display, EDGE, Bluetooth, 2 megapixel and a secondary VGA video camera, MP3 player, Stereo FM radio among others. This is the best deal overall.
2. The Samsung L170, FREE under Plan P1,2oo.oo. This phone has great feature as well, to compare with the Nokia 3120 classic, this has a Bluetooth A2DP rather than Bluetooth alone for Nokia, a 2 megapixel camera with autofocus, Nokia has no autofocus, and its FM has RDS. This phone fell short in color display with only 256 thousand compared to the 16 million for Nokia 3120, a 1.6 inches display compared to the 2 inches display of Nokia 3120, poor design, no color variation, poor phone organizer among others.
3. Sony Ericsson W660i, FREE under Plan P1,200.00. I love the design of this phone, sleek and classy, the Gold button says it all. As compared to Samsung L170, this phone has same features except the camera with no autofocus and has a 2 inches display and a Track ID recognition capability.
4. Sony Ericsson W910i, FREE under Plan P1,800.00. Nothing much of difference compared to W660i except that it is a slider, has 2.4 inches screen display, supports EMS, QVGA video with 15 fpm and a motion sensor. I wonder why there not in the same bracket? They should be with only few added feature in W910i.

The rest of the plan are same than before. Nokia N82, my dream phone and the best phone in the world to date, is still under Plan P2,500.00 and the omnipotent N95 8GB is free under Plan P 3,500.00

Go the nearest SMART Wireless Center to apply for one and my advice, Get the Nokia 3120 classic!!

Sony Ericsson P1i

Sony Ericsson's P1i..The Business and Professional Smartphone

Got to hold on this phone just recently when my I bought one for my brother. The phone was only one of his choice, and I think the least, he was suppose to buy the O2 Atom phone from eBay being a touchscreen and WIFI enthusiast and also wanting to have a phone where he can save medical ebooks with .pdf extension, but somehow I was able to influence him to buy the Sony Ericsson's P1i instead being a little bit knowledgeable in mobile phones. O2 Atom was sold on eBay, 2nd hand for 11,000 pesos, a bit catchy but a bad choice because the fact that it is second hand, O2 has a slow processor, has a low grade feature with only 65,000 color screen resolution small screen size, 2megapixel camera among others.

Sony Ericsson's is far more better than Atom. The fact that they are booth WIFI and touchscreen, P1i has 256,000 screen resolution, a 3.2megapixel camera, an MP3 player, Video player, WIFI and a quick office that can read Microsoft word, excel and adobe files. P1i is also powered by symbian UIQ that comes with third party software, a major plus for people who wants variation and personalize mobile experience. P1i is a professional and business smartphone by form and by feature. I can say that among the touchscreen device in the market, this is by far one of the best and the most practical being most affordable than the rest. He definitely deserve a business and professional phone being a medical doctor in profession.

I bought the phone for 13,750 pesos only brand new in Zamboanga City, and so far have been serving well for my brother. He even boast to me most of the time about it and want to compare it to my soon to be phone Nokia N82 which is miles higher in feature anyway than his phone. I just don't want to argue with him being different by perspective as to the choice phone feature. I'm happy that his happy with his phone that I choose for him.

Love Mobile; Battle of Camera Feature Continues

Not only that camera is an issue among photo enthusiast, it have now been an issue to mobile phone world as well. It seem that the idea of Nokia to integrate camera on mobile phone years ago have come a long way. Now it have become one of the most fierce battlefield to fought for in the mobile world arena.

As of the moment, the throne was held by Nokia N82 being cited as the best camera phone, 5 Megapixel Carl Zeiss lens with Zenon Flash and Autofocus, other phones that have this capability are Sony Ericsson K850i and Samsungs G810.

Can Nokia N82's position be shaken with the anticipated release of the following upcoming phones? Sony Ericsson C905 is one of them, the mobile device houses an 8 Megapixel Camera, Xenon Flash, Autofocus and Image Stabilizer. Samsung have announced their own powerful camera phone as well via Samsung B600, it houses a massive 10 Megapixel Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and Autofocus. While Nokia have N99 on development that will houses an 8 Megapixel, Xenon, Autofocus.

Now how interesting are all this?

For now, Nokia N82 still holds the top spot not until all this upcoming phones have by products laid in our midst so we could do comparative view.

Sony Ericsson G900, Love To Envy!!

Sony Ericsson recently announce the availability of G900 in the market, a latest addition to the their growing number of UIQ operating system devices. I first knew about this phone 3 months ago when it was introduce and just learn a little about it since it did not capture my interest that time, not until today when I read a good review about it. This phone is in head to head collision with Nokia N82 since they have the same market price. Here in the Philippines, G900 cost at about 19,800 pesos while Nokia N82 sells at about 19,600 pesos, eBay price.

I want to envy this phone. It has a power pack feature like the 5 mega pixel camera with flash and auto focus, WIFI, MP3, video player, Radio with RDS, 3G among others. The fact also that it is a touchscreen device, the future mobile interface, this would have weight more than Nokia N82.

But unfortunately, my heart belongs to Nokia N82 already, it was like sealed with metal lock that can't be unearth. I'm sticking with my plan to buy Nokia N82 because I know I will be happy on it since it has all I want in a phone and features I just cant ignore. Nokia N82, has 16million color display, a more faster processor (332Mhz), a better camera specs with the likes of Carl Zeiss Optics and Xenon Flash, HSDPA, 3.5G technology the future of 3G, HSCSD, EDGE, Motion Sensor, A-GPS with loads of maps and a bunch of 3rd party softwares that provides wide range services necessary and helpful in many ways.

I know I will be satisfied with Nokia N82 Black Edition and Sony Ericsson G900 will just be an envy, nothing more.

Love The Worthy Contender!!!

The magnificent have been challenged and the challenger is a worthy contender.
After my devastating experience in Cagayan De Oro City a few days ago, I've been seriously contemplating again on what phone to buy. Will I stick to my first choice, the Nokia N82 Black Edition (The Magnificent) or shift to the new Sony Ericsson W960i (The Worthy Contender)?

This was definitely Nokia's fault, if they would have had enough units of Nokia N82 Black Edition, I would have bought it already in Cagayan, but unfortunately I haven't due to its mediocre stocks. Now I'm seriously considering Sony Ericsson's flagship mobile phone.

Booth phone has amazing features. Design wise, their both good looking, black and classy, although W960i is ahead in terms of keypad usability and screen size. It has also a touch screen interface with features dedicated to music, it wouldn't be called the ultimate walkman phone for no reason. I'm a huge music fan thats why this aspect weights so much for me. When it comes to the phones touchscreen feature, its also a big plus for W960i since my opinion on touchscreen devices have greatly change after I learned that Nokia is now considering touchscreen interface devices with the development of Nokia Tube. It would only mean that the future of mobile phone will revolved on this interface. Practicality wised, I'll better have the future interface in my device as early as now rather than later, right?

Whats holding me back on Nokia N82 Black Edition though is its undeniable features. The camera, a huge 5 megapixel with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash which will satisfy my lust and love in taking good pictures, the 333mhz processor of N82 which is lightning fast compared to the slow and dragging 212mhz processor of the W960i (I hate slow mobile interface), the Adobe Flash player that can play web videos, the HSDPA, EDGE and GPS. A huge setback right there for W960i. Additional plus points for Nokia N82, cheaper than the other, has 16million screen colors, motion sensor, incapacitated N-Gage games and lots of 3rd party add ons.

So, which phone is which?!! I haven't decided yet.
What do you think friends? What phone should I choose?

Surprise!! I Love Surprise!

I can't believe what I just found out..The Nokia N82 Black Edition is selling like hotcakes in Cagayan De Oro City leaving no trace of the device anywhere. I visited several mobile shops and malls just to be informed that stocks have been sold out. Its ridiculous and pathetic because I have been wanting to own this phone for weeks now and when the opportunity came that I have enough cash to purchase it, it wasn't there for me to gasped. I have been eagerly wanting to own one that I've decided not to wait for my Metrobank Credit Card to arrived and just buy it through cash, I even traveled for 4 long hours for this.. a real disappointment, dismaler, outrageous...

Paging Nokia Philippines, produce more units please and ship it right away here before I lost interest on it and shift to a formidable touchscreen interface device, Sony Ericsson's w960i which is very much available. I'm giving you a chance, say a month to boost your supply here or else.... Entiendes?

One week!! I'm watching you!!
