Nokia Announces 4 Gorgeous New Phones!

Nokia recently introduce 4 nicely designed mobile phones which will add up to to the company's unbeatable low end and mid tier portfolio. I have to say that the company designers have done pretty well this past few weeks by bringing out good classy designs in the Nokia range with the likes of E55, E52, N97, 5700 Classic among others. Kudos!

First up, the shimmering Nokia 7020 fold, a mid range power phone that boasts a unique look of mixed of light, colour and metal finishes that gives a more personal feel, a neat feature set and bright 2.2-inch display with 256 Thousand Color Resolution, Second Tap Style external monochrome display which brings a unique effect that alerts users to a new call or message, a two megapixel camera, FM radio and MP3 player. It also comes pre-loaded with a selection of apps including Nokia Life Tools, Ovi Share and Ovi Store, Nokia Messaging, Opera Mini browser, Nokia Maps and what’s more, key social networking sites such as Facbook, MySpace and YouTube come pre-bookmarked with a 16GB microSD cards capacity. Other feature, Flash Lite 3, Nokia Maps, Voice memo and dial, a huge battery life of up to 15 days of Standby Time and 4.5 hours of Talktime and best of all, its cheap, it will be available towards the end of 2009, for an estimated €90 only (before taxes and subsidies), very impressive.

Next up, another Fold phone with again, very attractive design, the Nokia 2720 which will be sold only for 55 Euro before tax and subsidies. Imagine a phone with EDGE technology, a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, MP3 and MP4 player, FM Radio with RDS, 32MB Internal Memory among others, this is a power phone in the low end range. Like the 7020, this phone also have a mirrored shell body with hidden external display even when flipped open. Other important feature, Ovi Mail, Nokia Life Tools and of course the battery life of up to 18 days standby time and 5 hours for talk, sweet!

Nokia 2730 Classic, the cheapest 3G phone in the market boasts a 2-inch QVGA display, 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth and Stereo FM radio, and a stunning design with sleek curve corners. The design somewhat looks like the 5700 Classic which was introduce earlier this year, only than it is smaller and has fewer feature. Its got a 256 thousand color resolution 2.0 inches screen, 3.5mm audio jack, MP3 and MP4 player and Flash Lite aka youTube player. It has also remarkable Standby Time like the other two phones of up to 17 days and 3.3 hours talk-time. The Nokia 2730 classic goes on sale in the third quarter and is expected to cost about €80 before taxes and subsidies.

Finally the Nokia 6600i Slide which was said to be the direct successor of the legendary Nokia 6600. Tucked inside a new brushed steel shell, the device is toting an upgraded 5 megapixel camera with a dual LED flash, 3G, this means you’ll be able to share your shots on the move with little fuss, a handsome hidden external display, with the outer face equipped with touch technology, enabling you to simply tap it to bring the external screen to life or snooze alerts and silence or reject incoming calls. I sports a 2.2 inches 16million color resolution screen with accelerometer, Flash Lite 3, Nokia Maps, EDGE, 3.5mm audio jack, MP3 and MP4 player among others. It comes with a 1GB microSD card tucked in the box, and has the capability to support a 16GB microSD card. Built on Nokia’s solid Series 40 backbone, the 6600i slide is primed to soak up the first flood of apps and content that will soon become available via the upcoming Ovi Store. The Nokia 6600i slide is slated to go on sale in the third quarter of 2009 for around 200 Euros.
