Nokia Philippines and Smart Telecom is giving away PhP50,000 and a Nokia N8 superphone to individuals who can manage to solve the puzzle behind Pier Roxas's peril.
Here are the Mechanics
Initial Round
* Promo Duration: October 3 to November 3, 2010
* Contest is open to all residents of the Philippines aged 18 years old and above.
* Participants will email their version of Pier Roxas’ story; this must cover the 8 missing days, and incorporate ALL 8 leads/clues mentioned in the video and poster. Entries should be submitted in Microsoft Word format, maximum 1,500 words, in Times New Roman size 12.
o Woke up on a pier along Roxas Boulevard
o A deep bruise on his face
o Missing wallet
o A lipstick smudge on his collar
o Parking ticket
o Unfamiliar key
o Smart Gold sim
o Nokia N8 with no contacts
Participants’ submissions should be sent to Pier’s email – pierroxas@ovi.com with the subject line “Project Gener8 Entry”. The Word file must be attached to the email.
* Participants should include their full name, gender, birthdate, mobile number, landline number, email address and registered mailing address with their entries.
* Participants can submit multiple entries, but can only win once.
* Deadline for submission of entries is 11:59pm on November 3, 2010.
* The submitted entries will be validated by Nokia representatives upon receipt
o Entries must be written in English.
o Qualified entries must include an explanation for all 8 clues and the 8 missing days, and must comply with all requirements above. After entries are shortlisted to the qualified entries, 8 finalists will be selected.
* The selection of 8 finalists will be done in the Nokia Philippines, Inc office at 40th floor Philamlife Tower, 8767 Paseo de Roxas, Makati City, Philippines, on November 5, 2010. Selection will be done according to the following criteria:
o Adherence to theme – 30%
o Originality / Creativity – 40%
o Entertainment factor – 30%
* Participants included in the finalist scripts will be notified on or before November 6, 2010 through their registered email address, registered mailing address and mobile number.
* The 8 finalists will be invited to a briefing on the final stage of the competition on November 9, 2010, at Nokia Philippines, Inc, 40th floor Philamlife Tower, 8767 Paseo de Roxas, Makati City, Philippines. Finalists who are unable to attend this briefing will be disqualified from the competition.
* A valid ID must be presented and a printed copy of the email notification from Nokia in order to attend the briefing.
* Nokia N8 devices are NOT transferable and NOT convertible to cash.
* Nokia Philippines will shoulder the 20% tax required on prizes.
Final Round
* On November 9, 2010, the 8 finalists will be given a briefing on the final stage of the competition. Each of the 8 finalists will randomly draw a shooting and editing date to fall between November 12 and 27, 2010.
* On their assigned date of shooting, finalists will receive a Nokia N8 device for use during shooting. The finalists will then be required to shoot their submitted script within the allotted time.
* Finalists will be given two consecutive days to prepare their entry: one (1) day to shoot and one (1) day to edit.
* All finalists’ final entries must be submitted on or before November 27, 2010.
* Judges will select the winning entry based on the following criteria:
o Creative Storytelling – 30%
o Adherence to theme – 30%
o Execution – 30%
o Audience impact – 10%
* Winners will be announced on 11:00am on December 15, 2010, at Nokia Philippines, Inc, 40th floor, Philamlife Tower, 8767 Paseo de Roxas, Makati City, Philippines.
