May 21, 2011 Judgement Day!

If you have not read or heard it yet then you might be running out of time as the world is about to be judged, taking up to heaven God's elected people, that's according to a U.S. base religious sect that published an article detailing how and why we are on the verge to annihilation.

The timeline is as goes:

- 11,013 BC—Creation. God created the world and man (Adam and Eve).
- 4990 BC—The flood of Noah’s day. All perished in a worldwide flood. Only Noah, his wife, and his 3 sons and their wives survived in the ark (6023 years from creation).
- 7 BC—The year Jesus Christ was born (11,006 years from creation).
- 33 AD—The year Jesus Christ was crucified and the church age began (11,045 years from creation; 5023 calendar years from the flood).
- 1988 AD—This year ended the church age and began the great tribulation period of 23 years (13,000 years from creation).
- 1994 AD—On September 7th, the first 2300-day period of the great tribulation came to an end and the latter rain began, commencing God’s plan to save a great multitude of people outside of the churches (13,006 years from creation).
- 2011 AD—On May 21st, Judgment Day will begin and the rapture (the taking up into heaven of God’s elect people) will occur at the end of the 23-year great tribulation. On October 21st, the world will be destroyed by fire (7000 years from the flood; 13,023 years from creation).

Now if there calculations were correct then tomorrow, few people will disappear or would be abducted, Alien Movies style while the rest will live as it is not until October 21st when people will be cremated for free with the rest of the world.

So given this scenario, what will happen today? Is there going to be a dark and gloomy scene with flashes of lights going down to the sky picking up the chosen ones, or will there be a whirlwind sprawling across the globe zipping people, or they will just fall dead on the ground? What if they're on the toilet defecating, will the collecting in charge wait for you to finish before picking you up? Hhhmmm?

Then as an obvious follow up question, how will a mobilephone freak prepare for Judgement Day? First and foremost, I will be charging my Lust Green Nokia N8 and Nokia C7 the night before. It will be best if I could capture all the moment so I can feature it on the blog. The Nokia N8 will definitely gave me top notch photo's in all scenarios, bright or dim. When it comes to videos for youTube, the Nokia N8 will capture 720p, that would herald a n expectational video capture.

Then, I will be downloading a lot of applications, videos and music on Ovi Store so if I will be one of the chosen few, I will not get bored a long the way. I will also have to carry with me my mobilephone box with all the charger, connectivity plugs most specially the warranty card, might be needing it in the future.

What else? Oh.. yeah! tweet and facebook all things that are happening then foursquare or ovi share my location so everyone would know where we are!

How about you, what will you do today?

Good Friday!!

Good Friday, also called Holy Friday, Great Friday or Black Friday, is the Friday preceding Easter Sunday. It commemorates the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Golgotha.

Based on the scriptural details of the Sanhedrin Trial of Jesus, and scientific analysis, the Crucifixion of Jesus was most probably on a Friday, but see the articles on Crucifixion of Jesus and Chronology of Jesus for discussions on the exact date of Good Friday, which in recent years has been estimated as AD 33, by two different groups of scientists, and originally as AD 34 by Isaac Newton via the differences between the Judean and Julian calendars and the crescent of the moon.

This are just few on the important information about Good Friday, thanks to Wikipedia.

Anyways back to my unique holy week experience. My Good Friday started drowsy that day, never have a good night sleep since we have a vigil to immortalize the agony of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane. I have only a short and uncomfortable nap at the church chair and then woke me up 4 am early morning to prepare for the long walk procession to perpetuate the crucifixion of Christ. The catch was, instead of Christ bringing the cross to every Stations, each disciples will carry the cross from one station to another thus making me experience how to carry a heavy and long cross on a rocky velvet road and it was the most unforgettable and the best experience I have that day.

The fact that I was able to relieve Christ's experience, it gives me a feeling of self discovery, upliftment and spiritual maturity that I never felt before. It somehow cleanses my soul and gives me inspiration to do something better for myself and to other people. That very time, I thought I was carrying other peoples burdens and sins and my own and every step I made alleviates this to forgiveness just like what Christ did when he carry the Cross. It was something like a sacred act, heroic and divine and everyone should be given a chance to experience this once in their life. Truly amazing.

I could somehow site devotee's who nail themselves to the cross and those who flagellates their bodies with whips. It might have brought them spiritual experience by doing so, the experience that I went through that same day when I was carrying the Cross, so lets not be judgemental on them. Their doing it for a reason and whatever might that be, lets respect it, good or bad because its their own prerogative.

I might not be participating any reinactment ever again but I'm very proud and happy that I had and it brough a lot of chances to my life spiritualy and emotionaly. Good Friday Folks!

Maundy Thursday!!

And so its another Maundy Thursday in the Christian World, the blog's second, let us again contemplate and look back on this very important event in history.

Maundy Thursday, also known as Holy Thursday, is a feast or holy day falling on Thursday's before Easter that celebrates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. On this day four events are commemorated: the washing of the Disciples' Feet by Jesus Christ, the institution of the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper, the agony of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the betrayal of Christ by Judas Iscariot.

And Filipinos have our way in commemorating this, through stage plays and theatrical acts in churches with the priest and worshipers acting up the events that happen on this very day in Jerusalem, decades ago. The washing of the feet will be in acted out, the last supper, to the point of having a real feast by dawn among others. I was even cast as one of the disciples before and played the part of Pedro.

The washing of the feet is the most unforgettable experience I have during the day's play since it was something that never happen to me before in the past as far as I can remember, except when I was young of course, and that a priest, a man that guides my spiritual well being did it, somehow brought a different feeling, somewhat exhilarating, inspiriting, uplifting at the same time the feeling of compassion for Christ who did this out of love to His disciples and followers, its indescribable, very surreal.

The agony in the Garden of Gethsemane was also a very inspiriting experience, being awake in the middle of the night and praying silently with people around, its very moving and I have never prayed that solemn before and never had after that. That's how powerful the experience brought me that night.

The last supper was somewhat like a get together after the prayer so its not that real, and I eat to much that night destroying my fasting, none the less.

Anyways, I hope you will have a silent and solemn Maundy Thursday and more of the best Holy Week experience I have tomorrow. Good Friday. Chao!!
