A Tribute To The King Of Pop By The Infamous Cebu Inmates

Two days ago, the King Of Pop died and up to know millions of people were still in shocked by the said event. I may have not witness his grandeur in the 80's to 90's but I surely know that he was loved by the whole world. I still remember my Dad and Mom talking about him years ago to the point of calling him a "miracle man" by my father due to the decadence of his popularity but I never really appreciate him before not until I was in Highschool when I first saw a VHS video of his concert. During this time, Michael Jackson wasn't so popular anymore so it was like an introduction to his kind of music and among the song performed, Man In The Mirror became my favorite. Then again a huge gap of years pass by of not hearing anything about him until it was reported that his Neverland closed down, the announcement of his Concert in London and then his death.

Anyways without a further a do, here are youTube vidoes in tribute to the King Of Pop!

Nokia N82: Top Theme Of The Week: Black and Blue by Larsson

Every week I'm featuring exceptional Themes from creative and talented authors in a way of recognizing there hard work and dedication. Kudos!

This is my current favorite among the broods of themes installed in my phone, it somewhat fits the color of my N82, dark black and stunning. What makes this special beneath all the black themes in the mobileverse at the moment is its bright and neon colored icons. Somewhat looks like Christmas lights beaming from the dark which I find very unique. You can even use this theme in a broad daylight since the characters and icons were somehow distinguishable. Anyways, without further a do, heres..

Does December 21, 2012 Rings A Bell To You?

If not then you should be aware that its not much, just the "End Of The World" according to the prophecies foretold by the Mayan Calendar, a Chinese Oracle called "I Ching" and even in an Internet based prophetic program WEB-BOT.

Wow, just learned this one today, again, thanks to the mighty world wide web, I was informed that this prophecy exist. If you asked me if I believe in it? I don't because I believe in the Bible and It didn't specify when will the Judgment Day be, I believe that its coming and that all matters to me.

So lets try to dissect the facts behind this claim, first and foremost the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, or commonly known as the Mayan Calendar. The significance of this date in Mayanism stems from the ending of the current baktun cycle which is 2012, now how accurate was this calendar, it was said that the Mayans have perfected a precised calendar that has the ability to predict lunar eclipse thousand of years in the future and their devotion to stars and constellation is unparalleled, hmmm, sounds like a horoscope to me. c",

Their was also a theory of Galactic Alignment on this day, that could attribute to a slight wobble in the Earth's axis as it spins that could cause a devastating effect to earth.

Timewave zero, another theory related to the event, a numerological formula that purports to calculate the ebb and flow of "novelty", defined as increase in the universe's interconnectedness, or organized complexity, over time. According to this, the universe has a teleological attractor at the end of time that increases interconnectedness, eventually reaching a singularity of infinite complexity on December 21, 2012, at which point anything and everything imaginable will occur instantaneously. To complex to understand here but that's science in general to street people.

Another theory involves a geomagnetic reversal (often incorrectly referred to as a polar shift by proponents of this theory), which could be triggered by a massive solar flare, one with energy equal to 100 million atomic bombs. This is supported by evidence that the Earth's magnetic field is weakening,[27] which indicates an impending reversal of the north and south magnetic poles. Scientists believe the Earth is overdue for a geomagnetic reversal, and has been for a long time, even since the time of the Mayans, because the last reversal was 780,000 years ago.

NASA also expects a particularly strong solar maximum sometime between 2010 and 2012, there is no scientific evidence linking a solar maximum to a geomagnetic reversal. A solar maximum would be mostly notable for its effects on satellite and cellular phone communications. Another apocalyptic idea circulating about 2012, which has existed in various forms since 1995 and has changed dates at least twice since then, is that a large planet, called Nibiru, will collide with or pass by Earth in that year.

Aren't you drown yet with all this theories, dig this, a big budget movie inspired by the said event by no less than Independence Day director Roland Emmerich. Awesome right? That's how big this theory had become. To gave you the best interpretation of what 2012 will be, watch the full trailer of the film and be amazed.

Nokia N86 8MP Is Here! Getting One!

I'm buying the N86 8MP people, away from my 2 month longed Flagship NSeries touch device, N97 and its beyond final! Sudden change of heart, yes partly, I still love N97 overall but I have a touchscreen phone coming, 5530 XpressMusic given by Nokia Conversations (Thank You) and so I don't need another touchscreen device as an alternate.

N86 8MP now fits every description as my 2nd phone with its sugarplum camera and style feature. I made mention before in one of my posts that "one phone fits all" doesn't seemed to fit me anymore because I easily get bored. I will need an alternate phone and to be exact with design, feature and UI somehow different from the other. The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic will surely satisfy my touched craving and music fondness while N86 8MP covers my longing for a fancy slider form factor and will capped all my well loved NSeries features from NGage to Maps among others specially my love for Photography as it will have an 8MP Carl Ziess Camera optics on board with perks like variable aperture, wide angle lens among others to savor more. About my wish for QWERTY, I think I have to settle for a virtual one in 5530 and it should be enough, I guess.

Nokia N86 8MP even have a very enticing introductory price of Php23,400 at the moment, that's Php10,000 cheaper than N97 and a hell cheaper than any other power phones that released by Nokia on its first week. N85 for one, cost as much as Php28,000 when it first came out, N96, almost Php38,000, N82 among others.

This is one hell of a combination for me, the best camera phone at the moment, the Nokia N86 8MP and the coolest music phone to date, the 5530 XpressMusic. My digital and mobile life couldn't be more better from now on. c",

And The Nokia Conversations, Pass The Parcel Goes To?

Me! (Crowd cheered, background music played), went up to the stage and gave my acceptance and thank you speech (blood falling on my nose instead of tears) and cut! show was over. c", That's my ridiculed version of the Oscars and it wasn't even funny, hahaha.

Seriously, I have to thank my lucky stars and Nokia Conversations Team because they will be sending me one of the newest XpressMusic touch phone beaming from Nokia production arsenal, the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic as a price for their innovative promotion called Pass The Parcel c", Sweet!! (South Park's most abuse expression!)

This magma hot device is the younger brother of the very successful 5800 XpressMusic with a major design and screen facelift, new contacts bar, cheaper price but with no 3G and GPS on board. This I think was specifically targeted for emerging markets which is a big step forward for Nokia in the touchscreen arena. The phone will still be release worldwide by Q3 of 2009 which means, I will have an early run of the device, 3 months before its release, Sweet! Expect hundreds of posts here ala N82.

Nokia Conversations created a summer feature called Pass The Parcel where in everyday they unwrapped a layer of a parcel coated with several layers with each layer revealing a certain clue as to what was hidden inside. Readers will then have to guess what was hidden inside the parcel based on this clues. I left a comment and gave my best guess which I predicted was the Nokia Superman, my dream phone that leaked few months ago, or the 5900 XpressMusic that leaked also months ago which was said to be an upgrade to the 5800. Though it wasn't specifically correct based on specs but the image shown on that leak indeed came out as the 5530 XpressMusic. Call that a Nostradamus prediction hahaha. Anyways, if I was partly right about the 5530, then I might be partly correct with the Nokia Superman rather coming out on the Nokia Event in September. Yay! That phone will become the ultimate phone ever that carries the new symbian UI under the Symbian Foundation, a 12MP Carl Zeiss camera with aperture and wide angle goodies, a capacitative touched, multicore processor, HD video recording and the gesture interface, xxo"?!?oxx. c",

Again, Thank You Nokia Converations Team! Bit of advice to my readers, that if I have one hahaha, better hangout to Nokia Conversations site from now on, they might feature another device anytime soon via the Pass The Parcel and will also be giving it away, Nokia Superman?

Dance Fabulous On N-Gage

Kylla! (Finnish word for Yes!) I got a new N-Gage activation code again, this time from the newest, the coolest and the grooviest game in the universe, Dance Fabulous. Just receive it last night via SMS, Kiitos (another Finnish word for Thanks) N-Gage and Nokia for letting me try the game for 30 days. This is part of their promotional campaign that started a month ago giving away 30 day free trial to anyone interested, head over to the Dance Fabulous site to get yours.

I never thought I will be loving the game on first try, probably because its a new gaming experience on mobile phone for me with a combination of a challenging game play, good graphics and cool music that it caught my interest right there and then to the point of being stuck to the game until midnight trying to figure out the best moves and rhythm to earn points. Its also very easy to play, preliminary instructions were clear, buttons involves only the DPad and can be modify not like other games that confuse you with buttons and you only need memorize few and easy tactics and moves to set the play out.

You can also customized your character with options that will let you choose you preferred clothes, shoes, looks among others. I find this even challenging already, my character here has the closest resemblance of me in person, cute, cool and savvy c", kidding. Options will only be limited at first but as you progress in the game, gaining points will let you open more options for further character customization.

The game have 5 pre-recorded songs of Cindy Gomez, a budding artist and performer, that were specifically created for the game, Again and Again, Street Dancing, Are You Out Of Your Mind and Just Can't Stop This Feeling but you have the option to add songs and make you own dancelist based on whats available on your music playlist. Coolness isn't it, a music player with a game.

The main challenge of the game was on how to create a perfect dance steps and rhythm that will earn you points. This points are needed to open new levels and arena in the game. You must be able to create prefect dance steps, combinations and routines that can go with the music or else you wont earn anything. To be very honest, I have a difficult time doing this which ends up not gaining anything even to the point of going negative in most times, hehehe, that's how worse I am, just need to find the perfect pace and mood.

Theirs still a lot of things I need to discover in this game, having played with it for a few hours is not enough to unlocked its full potential and my 30 day trial wont also be enough given a possibility of unlimited songs of choice. I will definitely buy this game, given a chance, that if it will be available for purchase here in the Philippines, but as of the moment it just doesn't seemed possible, maybe in 40 years time, c", another mis-opportunity for Nokia to earn.

Anyways if you happen to have N-Gage service in your area, don't hesitated buying this game, I'm recommending this with conviction, definitely worth playing.

Widgets Finally Closed and Ported To Ovi

Some bad news folks, my well loved Nokia Widset have already been axed down and incorporated to Ovi, sad day! I'm a big fan of this application. This is the very first application I opened in the morning and my last companion at night before going to sleep, thats how deeply connected I am with it and how useful it is to me. Yes its a matter of converging services in to one, Ovi that is, thats why they need to close this down but Nokia did not come up with application that can immulate the service to the Ovi line up of applications which is a huge mistake, fatal mistake that is.

So whats with this application that makes me rave so much? Well this application has Widgets that anybody can subscribe into which are link to websites and what it does is it directly forward all updates from that site in to the application so I don't need to open the website from the browser. It gives the convenience of browsing several websites with all its updates into one. I have subscribed to several sites particularly news and current event sites like CNN, Inquirer, GMA News among others. Yes their application clients available to upload and install but they were only limited and we also need to open and install each application to get updates. Widsets incorporate this into one client and I will only need to refresh one app to get updates from all my subscribe sites. Twitter is a good alternative but its updates were only limited to 140 character and you need to open the phone browser to read the full article not like the widsets where it can display all the full article.

Hopefully Nokia can read this posts and create another app like Widsets, a more better and faster one incorporating links to pages for better browsing and viewing. For sure they have all the capabilities to do so having the application running for several years. Please Nokia, create another Widset app within the realms of Ovi.

For the moment, I think I'll be using Twitter for now not until I find another application that can gave me all the comforts of Widsets, any ideal which one folks? Buzz me up here!

NOKIA CONNECTION 2009: Discover, Connect, Experience Nokia's Personalized Solutions

In the Nokia Connection event held in Singapore last June 15, 2009, Nokia demonstrated its commitment to harness the power of the internet and mobility to deliver compelling services and solutions to consumers. Nokia announced a number of devices with solutions that can be personalized to connect people in new and better ways.

Nokia E72 for comprehensive messaging solution.

Nokia unveiled the new Nokia E72, its latest full QWERTY smartphone which brings a rich mobile email and instant messaging experience right out of the box, making it a great device for people who want to be connected, and productive in both their personal and professional lives.

Building on the formula from the hugely successful Nokia E71, this latest arrival in Nokia's Eseries family maintains the essential elements of its predecessor, whilst still improving its capabilities in a number of areas. For the first time, owners will be able to set up instant messaging (IM) accounts provided by Nokia Messaging direct from the homescreen. In just a few steps, device owners will be able to connect to their favorite IM accounts such as Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and Ovi amongst many others. The Nokia E72 is expected to begin shipping late in the third quarter of 2009.

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic touches all the right notes for music lovers.

Nokia today announced the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, a compact XpressMusic device that uses a touch interface for accessing people and content on the brilliantly clear homescreen. The „scrolling‟ Contacts Bar provides direct access to 20 people and their latest conversations and media updates. The homescreen also features one touch shortcuts to content and popular social networks, like Facebook and MySpace.

The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic follows in the footsteps of the top-rated Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, expanding the touch XpressMusic phone range with a youthful device that has a solid stainless steel frame finish and comes in five vivid colors. The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is expected to begin shipping in the third quarter of 2009.

Compact and functional new Nokia 3710 fold.

Nokia introduced the Nokia 3710 fold, a mobile device that balances eye-catching design with the latest in mobile functionality. The compact Nokia 3710 fold adds a personal touch with an artistic pattern on the cover and comes with an appealing array of features in a familiar user interface.

Together with the range of Ovi services on offer Nokia brings mobile Internet experiences to a growing number of consumers who want to share their memories, browse those of others, or explore new services and content. The Nokia 3710 fold is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2009.

Among the new phones announced, I consider E72 and 5530 XpressMusic as the standouts. E72 because of its massive upgrade to the very successful E71 combining more entertainment features to its business appeal, I could safely say the phone now perfectly serve the quote "Business with Pleasure" very well. On the other hand, the 5530 XpressMusic will become the cheapest and the most feature packed touchscreen phone to date which I predict will be the biggest seller among the touchscreen device in emerging markets specially here in the Philippines. A lot of people dreamt of experiencing a high quality touch phone but can't afford to buy one due to its enormous price and this will be a realization of that dream. Well done Nokia!
