The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

I hate to say this but the movie sucks big time just like the Lord of the Rings series!

I don't know what the author wants to imply but its another story that would make people feel stupid in the end. He had this weird pattern of subjecting characters to a long and dangerous journey when they had an option to take a short and easy way by flying at the back of a giant birds! How ridiculous, where's the sense? And this bummer usually happened on climatic scenes, messing everything up.

Yes, the had a top notched visual effects, excellent production and awesome cinematography but all the efforts were defiled by the poorly configured storyline.... If not for the birds!

The movie is part one of the three-part film adaptation of the 1937 novel The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. The three films together will act as prequels to Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.

The story revolves around Bilbo Bagins, a hobbit tapped by the wizard Gandalf, to accompany thirteen dwarves led by their prince Thorin Oakenshield on a quest across Middle-earth to reclaim their lost home and kingdom, the Lonely Mountain, from a dragon.

Their journey had almost the same pace that of the Lord of the Rings, the places they've been to, the characters they've encounter, etc., only that they were 15 characters taking the journey instead of 4.

Anyways, the movie is currently being shown in cinema's across the country, go check it out!

Super 8, The Movie Review

When I first heard about this movie, I thought the shitty Korean Pop (K-Pop) boybands/girlbands, which does terrible singing and stupendous dancing, have already invaded Hollywood but good to know that I was wrong at the same time right.

Wrong because the movie is produce by a legendary Hollywood director, Steven Spielberg and directed by the cunning J.J. Abrams of Star Trek lauding a very interesting Trailer that will make you say, hey I want to watch that movie! On the other hand, I was right because just like the shitty K-Pop, the movie was as bad making you wonder if Spielberg is now a Korean since he thought of producing the crappy movie.

First and foremost, the movie has a terrible, headache inducing story that will make feel delirious because you keep on wondering why things happened the way they are foretold. Okay the story was about an alien with a massive size and strength, who happens to be a prisoner of the US government and was helped by a scientist to escape by blowing a massive transport train. What so stupid about the story, the trains total wreckage against the colliding truck, the alien’s strength that could be compared to a dinosaur who could have escape anytime from the prison they are keeping him, the aliens spaceship that could have easily been rebuild since its self-assembling, among the rest of the sensible conditions deliberately neglected by the writers just to make the story long so it could fit into a full length movie.

Second, the movie had stupid scenarios that I just cannot take like when the army bombarded the town shooting their guns, tanks, missiles and cannons everywhere, even to themselves. It was like holy crap, did the alien have telepathic power to influence people’s mind, why are they shooting one another?

Third, the actors on the movie except the kids were terrible specially Ron Eldard, the father of Alice who has no effort in his performance. Kyle Chadler on the other hand was overacting at times that it looks awkward to watch. Now the kids where fine specially the fat one who manage to give justice to his role as a budding director. Elle Fanning on the other hand was also good but not as funny and cute like the the zombie kid and the vomiting geek.

Some good parts in the movie, J.J. Abrams’s way of exaggerating scenarios like the train incident where he totally blew everything away to madness. It was awesome seeing the train crash and burn throwing away everything in the air. That was very cool and I was totally sold out because of the clean special effects. He also tried to make the actions close to the character as possible that viewers can feel the thrill up close.

I also like the director’s idea of focusing the story on kids especially that it encourages young people at the moment to do the same and be creative. It’s like implying a lesson that kids can do these stuffs and that they can make a difference out of it. I never thought young kids like they are had an idea to film, all I do when I was in there age was eat and play.

And of course I cannot give you my views on cinematography, lights, sounds among the films other technicalities because that’s up to the academy to decide. What I can do at the moment is gauge the film in terms of entertainment and value for the money …and I would say yes for entertainment if you just want a movie that will tickle a bit of your funny bones with hilarious punch lines and scenes at the same time awe you a bit with some graphic effects but when it comes to money’s worth, nah, live it there because I don’t want you to have the same terrible headache like I did.

Film Rating: 4 Pop Corns

X-Men First Class...ic!

If there’s one movie that backtrack important events like no other, it has to be X-Men First Class as it exceptionally achieve one of the best story narration to date. It was as clear and as close to the real story as possible that none of the important things I know was missing. Not to mention the clean special effects and action scenes, tally it all and X-Men series finally has a classic part to boast about.

Applaud to the casts first and foremost because they were able to perform their characters as convincing as possible. They were not the best actors in tinsel town but they were able to perform what was expected for them. Another applause to the writers who made the storyline simple, fun and believable enough. It just proves how simple things matters.

I’m not very much persuaded on how mutation was explained, there were no clear explanation on how and why it happened. It would have been better if they were able to connect current extraordinary people who can do exceptional stuffs as a gradual part of mutation like for instance, the David Blaine of the 80’s or some famous people in the past that can do extraordinary stuffs.

The movie is the most important part of the whole Series since it explained the beginning of the long battle between good and evil mutants, it would have been better if they showed this first than what has been release, everything would have hit like it was back then when the cartoon series went live on television.

My grade on the movie, 8 pop corn out of 10 because I enjoyed the film and I’m used to be a big X-Men TV series fan. So go watch it!

The Last Airbender, Fast Track

Must have something to do with being used to the TV series where every element of a good story was integrated having a long playing time that I was a bit frustrated with how the Book One of Avatar, The Last Airbender came out. It was generally fast track that almost all the stuffs and the scenes that I like we’re gone. The story even came out confusing to newbie’s point of view... how could they fail to give justice to a great story such as this one?

First and foremost, it wasn’t well explained how the Fire Nation came into power, how the Fire Nation grouped terror to the 4 nation, how they manage to defeat the equally powerful Air Nomads, why the guardians of the Air Temple forcibly announce the next Avatar even if he was still a child that lead him to escaped and vanished, how vulnerable the Avatar is in his current condition, how Prince Zuko managed to track the Avatar, how funny Sakka was, etc. The movie somehow failed in extracting the emotion of the characters and how they became who they are.

Second, the action scenes with breathtaking special effects weren’t there! The movie will supposed to have great fight scenes conjoining the effects brought about by the 4 elements, Fire, Water, Air and Earth but it wasn’t as impressive as it seemed. It’s like they limit the special effects so it won’t cause much denying the extent of what would scenes would have been. It’s like I enjoy the fight scenes of the cartoon series more than in the movie when it’s suppose to be the other way around.

Third, the soundtrack and the background music support! In the TV series, it amplifies every scenario whenever it may be, fight scenes, suspense, drama, etc. The movie failed to use the music effects as if they purposely eliminate it to accelerate scenes. It was like watching a fast forward nightmare!

Though I have give credit to some actors portraying important characters. Avatar Aang for instance was nicely portrayed by Noah Ringer who was naturally borne martial artists minus the fun and innocence of the original character. Prince Zuko was carried out satisfactorily by Dev Patel, he naturally posses those anger that the character exhaust. I wonder if he really does hate the world around him. Worst portrayal, Uncle Iroh who was suppose to be a wise brilliant and calm warrior but was totally unnoticed in the movie and Sokka, a disaster portrayal by Jackson Rathbone who totally erase the humor of the character. Maybe it was the writers choice to eliminate the fun part of Sokka and they made the biggest mistake of their life!

Okay, I could go on and on detailing the failure of the movie but there is nothing that can be done. I suggest M. Night Shyamalan has to fire his writers and hire capable ones who can translate the Book Two better. It is one of the most important part of the trilogy, the Ba Sing Se, solid earth bending, Torph among other awesome characters and fight scenes. I would love to see grand scenes next time, a great storyline (more character driven), longer playing time (2.30 minutes will do), earth shattering special effects of course and tons of fun! Please, I beg you, M. Night!

Body of Lies and Nokia

Nothing negative in here against Nokia, it’s just that I was able to watch the movie Body of Lies that stars Russel Crow and Leonardo DiCaprio that showed tons of Nokia mobilephones. It’s like a Nokia sponsored movie having use Nokia phones only the entire time and by most of the characters. Most prominent was the one use by DiCaprio and Crow, the Nokia 6600 Navigator which was shown most of the time as they often communicate using the phone.

Body of Lies is a story about terrorism by Muslim extremist, war in the Middle East and how the United States deals with them. Of course the movie is fictional but in general sense, it depicted a scenario that was happening undeniably. In order to gain access and fight this groups, the United Stated have no choice but to conduct surveillance as brutal as it may seem in exchange to the life that will be save by doing so. This terrorist groups bombs every possible place they could, kills every possible civilians as please in the name of religion. Sorry but this is a sick ideology and should be condemned to the utmost possible.

Anyways, it’s a good movie to watch if you’re into action and adventure and if you do, can you please count and identify all the Nokia phones that was shown, for records sake. c”,

The Echelon Conspiracy

I have recently watch Echelon Conspiracy, a 2009 suspense thriller movie that tackles about the ugly truth of information’s technology that we currently have at the moment. The movie was similar to that of Steven Spielberg’s Eagle Eye where a government secret software project goes awry turning against humanity instead of helping it.

In the movie, the software can access and manipulate individuals via a mobilephone and street camera’s by the help of the internet. It can identify individual informations, location wherever they are, things they do, friends, love ones among others. It’s a given fact that this technology exists at the moment and therefore we are all vulnerable to possibility that it can happen to us.

Individual informations, does all of us have bank accounts? Yes we have and therefore everything about us is there in the information superhighway. We have facebook, friendster or twitter accounts therefore they have informations about our friends and love ones and last but not the list, we are hook to mobilephones therefore they know where we are because they can identify unique signals emitted by our devices. They can even hear our phone conversations or read our text messages.

So given all this facts, how can we define privacy now? For me, privacy is nothing more than an old fab, it was lost in time, lost when we decided to let other people protect our money and assets, lost when we embrace technology, when we connected to the world, when we decided to gain mobility and individuality via mobilephones, lost and will never be found unless we go outdated.

So if you are to choose, which would you rather have, privacy or connectivity? Make you choice!

Movie Monday! 2012 Experience

My place was lucky enough to have shown the most talk about film, 2012, in local theaters together with the worldwide opening and that is why I was able to see the movie yesterday with my family amidst the most awaited Paquiao vs Cotto fight. It became a Sunday family bonding moment, thanks to the catchy infomercial on TV, everyone in the house wanted to see it. It was I think the first time that it happen, c", we usually have different movie preferences and I opt to watch movies with my friends, but yesterday was different, even my 4 year old nephew came to watch as well, weird!

2012 never faltered, in fact, it exceeded my expectation a hundred folds keeping in line to the films main purpose overall, to thrill, entertain and educate. What makes this film different from the rest was that, all the scenario being shown was base on scientific probability, well it might be originally contoured to the Mayan Prophecy as it was promoted to be but it came out differently, it became more of a scientific phenomenon and probability which they by the presented as truthful as it might be base on scientific studies. If your watching Discovery Channel, National Geographic or History Channel, your probably familiar with this kind of shows, only that it was presented with better graphics and special effects, digital surround sound and drama. Awesome!
The San Andrea's Fault in California, the Yellowstone Park, the Sun's dubious flare, aligning of the planets, etc, there all true in general sense and it will cause a massive effect in a worldwide and worse End Of The World! The only unreal about it is the exact Date as the prophecy predicted, December 21, 2012, it can't possibly be known having no possible means of discerning time of events scientifically other than pure hearsay. It's just unbelievable that a Mayan Calendar nor the Chinese oracle called "I Ching" or the Internet based prophetic program WEB-BOT predicts the exact date of this event, and there is No Way!
Anyways, the film was amazing, the storyline was also good that it was able to sustain the Thrill factor from the start to the end, the effects were very clean, stunts were breathtaking, etc. I didn't know world destruction looks so much fun with all those buildings, roads and mountains crumbling, people screaming and chaos mounting everywhere, makes me want to experience it for real. c", I think I would want to be on the best place to see the events unfolding, somewhere that is high in altitude to see how the world crumbled down, it will be the best and the last entertainment in my life. It doesn't sound devilish isn't it? hehe
Movie is really worth watching! 10 Stars! Go watch it! c",

Movie Monday! Review? Kimmy Dora, Kambal Sa Kiyeme

Hahaha, haven't you watch this film yet? Just catch a glimpse of it last weekend, I know this have been shown 2 weeks ago in major cities in the country and still being shown in the provinces at the moment, and my impression of it? I have fun though on the level of being funny, it's just within 5 out of 10 but at least it have tickled a bit of my funny bones. Its only rare that I find "comedy" movies funny specially if it's slapstick type but this movie was able to top the compromise level. c",

Yes its hilarious in some scenes but some were rather boring and the story was dragging, it failed to sustain excitability throughout. I also thought that the comic antics shown by Eugene Domingo were a copy cat of what AiAi De Las Alas did in her films, I wish she came up with her own style of comedy. Must have something to do with the Director I believe, being the same Director who crafted the movie made by Ms. De Las Alas. The rest of the cast did the best that they could, Dingdong Dantes sucks and comedy was not really his forte. Cinematography, Music Score among other important aspects of the film, lacks effort and creativity, maybe due to budget constraints, whatsoever.

I like the way they manage to combine talents from the country's two biggest TV networks, for the world to know, the Philippine Entertainment Industry was only being manipulated by two rival TV networks, if your not a Kapamilya, your a Kapuso and I'm not a Filipino since I don't belong to either of the two, hahaha, kidding! Movies should have this set up as it will attract viewers from both camps and for movie producers to be non partisan when it comes to making movies, its a win-win situation for the ailing Filipino Movie Industry if booth camps would watch every Pinoy Movies that comes out in the Silverscreen.

Nothing more to say about the movie actually but if you don't have nothing to do this weekend and you want to laugh you hearts out a bit, head over to the theater and watch Kimi and Dora battle it out for laughs.

Movie Monday: A Day With The G.I. Joe

My friends and I spent a day with the G.I. Joe's last week when it opened in the Local Theaters here. It was also a national holiday that day celebrating the death anniversary of our well loved hero, Benigno Aquino that we find time to get together and did what we all love to do ever since, watched movies!

Anyways, the theater was in a full house when we got there, who would want to missed a movie with a visual effect rich action packed trailer shown on TV, it got everyone interested including our packed.

I have high expectation of this movie base on trailers alone but it was a bit foiled when I learned about its low rating from movie critics and even from the viewing public, nonetheless I was still skeptical that I will enjoy the film... and... I did! Hah, that's how shallow I am when it comes to movies, I tend to love every movie that comes with death defying action stunts, awesome visual effects, guns clanging from beginning to end, sexy bad chick and flat humor. c", If I would become a movie critique, Ramboo will become one of my highest rated movie.

The film didn't fail to impress, from the early minutes alone, it has already shown mind blowing gun fights and explosions , awesome flying craft ala XMen among others and good first impressions matters a lot. Though I find the visual effects to cartoonish most of the time, it was outweigh by the action packed trail. Lucky enough that they have martial art stunts incorporated or else everything would have been blunt. The backtracks where rather dragging than helpful and the story was to vogue and divided, how I wish they would have focus more on one story and the importance of the thickening plot in a worldwide scale, other than this everything fits well. The rest of the details will be revealed in the film if you watch it and I encourage everyone to do so, its worth a snag. Looking forward to the next installment of this film as it left a hanging dark scenario.

My popcorn Rating, 2.

Bruno, Aboard The Starship Enterprise

This is not a joke, I did saw Bruno and Star Trek at the same time or should I say same day. c", As the title of the article connotes, Bruno was separated by a comma thus giving it a separate emphasis on the next group of words which refers to Star Trek movie. It was like seeing disaster and triumph unfold with Bruno getting the disaster tag with Star Trek owning the victory chant. I was just lucky enough to watch Bruno first then the Star Trek movie next because if its the other way around, my Sunday would have ended a catastrophe.

Bruno was one of the most worse movie I saw ever, it was a very cheap, low blow class comedy basking on nudity and coition. If you don't want to see a corkscrew with balls bouncing around in the screen, don't watch this film, throwing up is the worst scenario I can imagine when you watch this and I think only people with sick mind will do a movie like this. If only they didn't do catchy promotion for this film like the iPod and baby swap trailer and the butt exposure scandal with Eminem on the MTV movie awards, I would have not gain interest in watching this. No wonder why this film was banned in several countries, plus the fact that it has become one of the worst performing film in holywood box office with a 75 degree nose dive down, its simply and unimaginably groose!
On the other hand, the Star Trek became one of the best movie in my all time shortlist. It was unexpected because I wasn't really a big Star Trek TV fan and I consider this film a competition of Star Wars, and knowing that I tend to hate competitors of my fab stuffs, it was very much far fetch. The story line of the film did all the magic, it was nicely laid down and very clear to follow, then they pinched it up with action thrills and awesome special effects, it became perfect. Maybe the fact that I wasn't expecting to much on the film that's why it struck me big time and if I'm going to gauge it against the Transformer movie, it will came out higher by points. Its just so happen that I have a preconceive notion of what I want to see in the Revenge of the Fallen and that the film meets those expectation so it came down as great but not as shinning as Star Trek.
The film wasn't perfect, the story has loopholes and that distracted my attention a bit, in particular, the scenario where the Remulen attacked the Valcan planet, why didn't they have security force within the planet with 6 Billion inhabitants as they were noted to be a superior race when it comes to knowledge and technology, they should have at least a bunch of security force that would have check the situation first hand rather than waited for the Starships to arrive from another galaxy, it just didn't make sense right there. Another loop hole was when the Remulen attacked Earth. How come it wasn't reprimanded by the remaining force left on earth specially that it has a space station docked in space. With such a huge starship like the Remulen, it would have been detected easily. Then last but not the least, the invasion of the Remulen ship, if it was very important and pivotal, why did they not transport as many soldiers inside the ship since it is very important for them to take over the vessel instead of sending only Sparks and Jim to the Remulen.
Anyways, this holes though did not affect my overall impression of the film, it is by all means, one of my best movie of all time and everyone should watch it.
Just a small snap, a Nokia phone was featured in the film, no word thought about the phones name or if it would be release commercially. The Nokia Futuristic ringtone, the most downloaded app on Ovi Store was also beamed loud and clear across galaxies.

Harry Potter Came Out Short!

I'm not just talking about Harry Potter's height here but also the latest installment of the Harry Potter movie in general which I found to be a disappointment. I have watch the movie last Saturday, lucky enough that Ozamis City has a simultaneous showing with Mega Manila, and it just fell short to what I expected it to be.

To be very honest, I find the movie boring and not magical enough, it was like I was waiting for something to happen yet it did not came through, where's the battle scenes, the funeral, where's my common sense, what the hell just happen? I believe the previous movie was more better, the wand battles where there and special effects among others. I just hope they did it purposely to bring a grand action packed finale movie in the Deathly Hallow, cross my finger!

I was wondering why there where a lot of positive comments about the film on Twitter, I suppose this people where out of their minds and have not read the book themselves because if they did, they would have felt the same way like I do or maybe I was just an action freak kind of nitwit that I was expecting a Transformer, Revenge Of The Fallen like scenario in the movie. Maybe, but come on, their where a lot of parts on the book that could have satisfied this but they choose not to because there crazy. I don't think they were cost cutting rather due to world financial crisis that they refrain from using special effects because the movie have wreck a 4 Billion Dollar income for the past years so its should be out of question.
Okay, maybe they were thinking about the kids who will be watching the film and they would have choosen to preserve its "child friendly movie" notion, besides it is a movie for kids and the young at heart, hmmm.... that explains everything.

For my odd rating on this film. Half score for Half-Blood Prince, 0, because I only enjoy "half" the film. (Ratings Scale: -50 highest, 50 Lowest)

Transformer 2, Revenge Of The Fallen: Soaring High

Side trip to my official and work related back drop to Asia's Latin City, about time, haven't visited the place for two months, I watched one of my most anticipated US summer movie, Transformer 2, Revenge of the Fallen and have the best and exhilarating action packed movie experience so far ever.

As far as I can remember, the last remarkable action movie that I enjoyed watching was Batman last year and since then, all action movie that came after that were crapness to mention, hmmm? Terminator for one which failed to impress me big time that's why I didn't care to write about it here. I was so disappointed that I just want to forget about it and relieve my fab memories on the old Terminator movies.

Anyways, back to Transformer 2, I really enjoyed this film to the 5th level, its like a movie specifically created for me, fits all the things I want in to see.. action, death defying stunts, visual effects, comedy, thrill, adrenaline rush and sexy women.. its all here and was crafted into a timeless action movie masterpiece, Kudos to Michael Bay and the rest of the crew, the movie was worth watching and I have to strongly disagree with the reviews being thrown against this film, this is a fun movie and deserves praise, to the critiques, take a breather and have a life! The special effect were nicely crafted that you wont be able to see glitch anywhere, action scenes were hardcore that you feel the banging sounds of hard steel deep within your throb and of course tickling punchlines.

To be very honest, I didn't really enjoyed the first Transformer movie, the storyline was very confusing that it was like watching a puzzle where I need to connect the dot to be able appreciate everything, but this movie was way different, it uses simple approach to the Transformer storyline, 100x better, laid out in a easy way for anybody to understand. The introduction of new powerful villains and characters with unimaginable capabilities adds up to the excitement.
Anyways, if you haven't watch this movie yet during the weekends, rigged your weekday schedule and march to the movie to see it. You wont be disappointed. YOU MUST!!

Movie Review: The Super Storm

Have you seen a garbage movie lately? Well, I can recommend a few but first thing first, the most annoying movie I've seen in a lifetime, a Chinese movie dubbed as The Super Storm. Chinese loves to fake stuffs and deceive people with their technology to twerp things up and this movie is nothing different in what they do best.

I had a movie bonding lately with my younger sister who is a movie freak like me to supposedly watch Friday The 13th movie which we heard to be currently showing in a movie house and since its been awhile that I haven't watch a movie in a big screen, we booth head up to the theater only to find out that its not showing anymore. Instead, we found this movie called The Super Storm, never heard it before but since it has a good movie poster, see inset image, with all the storm besieging a high rise city, jet planes and choppers hovering around, we decided to watch it instead only to be shocked that it was a Chinese movie with lousy subscript English translation at the bottom.

Well I was kinda skeptical at first and I thought why not gave it a chance since I've seen several good Chinese movie like Crouching Tiger and all Jet Lee movies but as the movie went on, I'm beginning to witness the strangest horror in my whole life... the movie was the most annoying, the most cheesy, the most irritating, the most obnoxious vexatious film I've watched, what the FUCKED!! Its like watching the end of the world!!

Have you seen a movie where the characters cries almost every scene, this is the perfect shit movie to see that, a movie that shows very obvious toy cars, ships and houses being swift away by water rushing from a garden hose, horrible isn't it? How about a dog being blown away by a tornado and yet survived to the point of even having a reunion moment with his owner in a classic beach slow motion scene with the owner and the dog running towards each other, miserable and pathetic. Yes, I am cursing and bad mouthing right now because the people behind this movie outsmart me. They fooled me big time into thinking that it was a good movie based on the poster when in fact it is a super disaster. It makes me looked like an idiot again, thanks to masters of deception, Chinese with all those gadget clones and Tsip Tsau who call the Philippines a country of servants. Are they not annoying enough?

How I wished this kind of acts will be wipe out in the face of earth and never ever let this kind of movies shown for the public to see. It will spread misery and epidemic much worst than H1N1 Flu virus. Please people, I know this movie is currently playing in the country right now, don't be fooled by the poster, the movie sucks big time like Tsip Tsau. You don't want to watch a movie and experience nightmare at the same time.

Love Movie; Slumdog Millionaire!

Wow, wow and wow, I couldn't think of any other words for this movie, just WOW!!! (with three exclamation point) It really is the best movie this year and that it deserved all the recognition it received from Oscars to Golden Globe and the rest of the most prestigious award giving body in the movie world. All my admiration, amazement, wonderment, praise goes down to this movie.

I wasn't really interested in this movie at first specially that it only debut low when it was first shown in the U.S. and I also didn't have any idea what movie it was, what was it all about not until I started reading news about it left and right, that it had won several citations and awards and that it have received astonishing reviews from movie critique. It was not after the Oscars that I finally decided to find time and watch the talk of the town movie of the year and I was very thankful and happy that I did.

I saw the movie a while ago from my mobile phone Nokia N82 using DIVX player and A4 Tech Earbud headphone and I have experienced the best storytelling ever in my life. Officially regarded as one of the best movie I saw so far, this movie captivated my hunger for excellent movie adventure dozing out the finest contents, Luck, Love, Passion and Destiny. It celebrates life and reality, how people clings to Luck, the very essence why people Hope. Love, a powerful emotional satire of existence, the very reason why life becomes memorable to people. Passion, the emerging factor of intense desire and attraction, a very strong feeling for something or someone. Destiny, a concept of predetermined future.

In other words, this film celebrates humanity, its trials and adversities, the road to contemplation, heartaches, failures, its triumph and success, belief among others. As far as I can remember, I haven't saw a movie yet that touches all aspects in life, just this movie with a stirr of excellence and craftsmanship in pouring out the right flare at the right place, moment and time.

I very much can relate to this movie, maybe this is the reason why I applaud this a lot, I have experience Love, ultimate love, I doled out Passion to somebody, I clung to Luck, hoping that I may be bless with all the Love and Passion I gave and Destiny, optimistic of what my future brings me. I may not have a cruel experience in the past like that of the lead character but once in my life, I have felt what he had went through and I knew it wasn't easy.

This movie also gave me a memorable lesson, Never ever loose HOPE, do every other thing possible to reach your dream, goal and aspiration in life. Be Inspire!

Movie Time to Shake, Rattle and Roll

Believe it or not, I watched a Manila Film Feast movie, Shake Rattle and Roll 2008 last December in Cebu with my sister and we had a rough not so great scary experience. Okay, if I am to rate the movie, out of 10, I say it was 4 because It wasn't scary at all. I find the bobo tactic a real bobo because instead of getting scared, it came out as funny, cant they think of any scary scene anymore, where are the innovative ideas people and please slate good actors and actresses to do role next time, not the trying hard lead stars of the first two story, by the way, for those who doesn't know, the movie features 3 stories, and it has always been that way ever since, because it looks comical and creepy.

I should have rated it 1 out of 10 but the third story came out great that's why I'm chiding 4. The story was intended to tickle the audience and I cant believe it did, at least to me and I tell you people, its difficult to rant with my funny nerves, haha, weird, anyways and it was ramp up with the funny yet ... stint of the third story, it featured Marian Rivera, booby tubey incarnation of Marimar, in a side chill comedy that suites her, an innocent, mysterious, bungagera, sexy quack doctor who ramps against the 3rd kind aka ghost buster with a punch of sexiness and beautiful face. I have never appreciate her lovely face before, obviously because I don't watch telenovela, and I was lovestruck,c", she become an ideal woman to me, maybe if she can read this post, i want to marry her, haha, pure illusion, anyways guys,

Obviously, I wont recommend this movie to anybody specially to the dudes because you might catch a glimpse of Marian, my future wife, I don't want you to fall for her, it would mean more suitors, more competition hahaha, okay I wish I'll come back to my old self again tomorrow. Chao, have a great day!!

Movie Time at Bed Time

I dupe a bit of my precious time and drop by a movie house at Mindpro Zamboanga City to watch any movie big tube have to offer and run across Bedtime Story that stars Adam Sandler. It was a big hit in United States Box Office, so I didn't hesitated to watch it. Okay, call that curiosity by influence but would it nice to know why it was a big hit? I also thought of giving myself a few hours to laugh my hearts out because I've been hampered by a lot of pressures left and right recently, you know what I mean c",

Anyways, back to the movie, I had a great time watching it, I can say that of all the movies I watch featuring Adam Sandler, this was one of the best. It has all the elements I want, fun, laughter, action, adventure, lesson in life, romance, heart, family, almost complete. The signature comic for Sandler was there, only this time I find it more hilarious, call that evolution, a more mature type of basket comedy. The story was great, a loser to winner kinda story which I can relate into, a big haha, important element, winner at the end and I'm not talking about failed relation here, just life, having ups and down.

I know, I'm getting sentimental and this suppose to be a happy movie feature, but really the movie was a bomb, you should see the funny antics of the squirrel, the British guy who hosted the MTV VMA 2008, Philippines pride, Rob Scheider, the Sleep Shock Disorder, etc, I like it for the moment and I would like to recommend this to everyone, go watch, spend a penny and gain laughing points to combat wrinkles, you wont regret it. c",

Eagle Eye, My Thoughts

Got a little time lately folks to watch a movie, I was on trip this weekend and in a big city where decent movie houses splur so I didn't waste the opportunity to watch and just so happend that Eagle Eye was rolling.

I like the movie, in the scale of 1 to 10 with 10 as the highest, ill gave it a decent 7. The movie captured my interest from the start having a very good trailer and it didn't failed. The movie was indeed action packed with a theme that inflict curiosity, a scenario that might have already been true in many sense where in we live in a world that revolves around technology, internet or mobile communication. It shows how powerful our technology have become where it has the capability of knowing everything even to the point of being able to manipulate human beings. This isn't to far from reality. Right now we already have the technology to trace anyones location via GPS, trace phone numbers, personal files and even bank files. We call them the hackers of the system and there are hundreds of them in the web, an alarming strength.

Back to the movie, storyline was well made that moviegoers will be glued as to whats going to happend next or how will the story ends and the anticipation was on the upbeat. Their were times though that it become dragging but it pulled out just find. I just dont like the ending though. It lacks luster and should have been more exciting and cunning.

The special effects where dently made creating a soft finish scene, typical for a big budget film like this. Some unique stunts came to play among others.

On the acting department, Shai Lebaouf made a good portrayal and have carried the film all the way. He really was able to hone his acting being Steven Spielbergs favorite actor lately and will continue to grow in his craft in the upcoming years.

I will put a "go see the movie" tag on Eagle Eye and enjoy. Perhaps it will take sometime for Hollywood to make a reality driven movie like this.

The Illusionist, Love Review

I was able to watch The Illusionist in Star Movies recently, it was more like an accident, mere chance, I was just surfing the channels and came across a scene where the lead character perform awesome magic, a trick, an illusion. It gave me enough reason to watch the rest. The lead stars of the film was an added bonus also, Edward Norton of the Incredible Hulk flare, knowing how bad his performance was in that film, I was curious how he acts on the Illusionist. Jessica Beil was a strong influence to, one of hollywoods prettiest faces.

Overall impression of the film, 6 out of 10, a nicely crafted film but a bit predictable. Its like you knew the plot already and how the story ends and I was dumb right, I did predict how the film ended but the thrill that came before the final scenario was worth noting. How the Illusionist crafted his greatest escape was the movie's high points and I have to give complement to Edward Norton's performance, it was way better compared to Incredible Hulk.

The movie was about an Illusionist, a very good one that made enough raves that even a crown prince envied. The prince tried to malign him but failed and the worsiest scenario of them all, he fell in love with the crown prince's fiancee. It was that love that made him orchestrate a great escape not only of him but of the crown prince's fiancee. An act that ends as disaster in one of the character, the act that I felt unfair in one of the character also. Whoever those character may be, that you'll have to find out because I want you to watch the film. Their are awesome scenes in the film specially the magic tricks.

Catch the film on Star Movies, they have run down showing of the film for limited dates only. Check their website for screening times.. http://www.startv.com/movies/

The Suspect; Love The Plot

The Suspect, got to watch this film on Star Movies,a local cable TV channel in Asia, the other day and was surprisingly fascinated by it earning a spot on my most coveted blog.

I love the plot of the movie, the story is something different, something new and unique. Its about a young man who was bless with a powerful sense of smell, an inborn gift of knowing everything his nose can smell no matter how distinct or vogue it is. Mold from the harshest condition since birth, he grew up as a slave, aloft to everybody, weird and lonely. The plot of the movie arises when he meet a perfume maker, being gifted with a sense of smell, he was able to impress the perfume maker by knowing the ingredients of the competitors perfume and making one of his own distinct formula as well earning him a job in the establishment. Knowing his capability and talent, the perfume maker thought him everything he knew about perfume making and even challenging him to create the greatest perfume of them all. A perfume that has the capacity to enslave anybody, everybody.

Being an eager and dedicated young man, he find ways in how to create this perfume until finally finding the greatest ingredient of all. The human smell, and for him to be able to get this human smell, he needs to kill. Without any hesitation, she killed 13 women, all of them with unique character, unique scent, unique smell and made the greatest perfume the world have ever known. He was suppose to be hang after he was found guilty of the crimes he committed but with the scent of the perfume he made, he was able to sway people not to, they praise him instead, and got away with the murder charges.

The end will be kept a secret because I will encourage everyone to watch this movie. Witness how the story unfold and the lesson to be learned. Watch and Enjoy!!

The Newest Mummy Movie; Old Tricks

The Mummy; Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

Aaahhh??!! I was rather bored and confused watching this film. It was a big disappointed, I expected something more, something big on this film but sadly their was nothing on it. The old trick of showing a good trailer, made me march to the movie theater to watch the film just to be frustrated in the end, a wicked practice that should be stop once and for all.

The story was rather confusing, an evil emperor was cursed yet with impeding possibility of world ciaos, the tomb should have been guarded fully blah, blah, to make the story short, the whole story is a crap. No matter how you try to understand the movie, you just couldn't prevent yourself from asking questions, how, why, where, etc, I hate movies that well make you think dumb and this movie will imply to you that.

The movie lacks luster, the action and thrill was not there anymore compared to the other two mummy movies in the past. The effects was dry rather than astonishing. The plot was short lived rather than odd. It was the worsiest mummy movie of them all.

The only good thing I earned from this movie, seeing Jet Lee do what he do best, high flying stunts, and kung fu, but short lived as well. Hopefully, the next mummy movie will be better than this and I'm looking forward for the next movie to contain the best action and effects we have enjoyed in the past again, Make it happened!
